I'm still trying to wrap my head around how that would work. So if you're a passenger, you will have movement and direction disabled? Or will getting off while at full speed be an option if you insist on going left if the other player goes right?

You can just port to friends homes, guildies, use the navigators, etc,...

Maybe they could make the navigators and carts more interesting for this purpose. Would be nice to see more then talking to a captain.

I played this old MMO where you could taxi people using your wings. (You had both wings and mounts, but only wings allowed you to carry another player). Wings were essentially flying mounts.

The Taxi player would highlight your name and send a carry request, same as how you initiate a trade. If the passenger accepted the request, their skills and movement were disabled. Their direction buttons let them spin the camera around. However they could press a button to drop down at anytime and resume control of their character.

They said on ESO Live that yes, you need to be grouped for it to work.

Of all the things my imagination could make me wish for, this is an abomination of nightmares. The indriks reminded me of a Christmas tree that threw up over a deer. The cat mounts aren’t a choice, my cats would never forgive me (yes, that is a requirement in the dictator-state of The All Ruling Queen. If you have two accounts, like I do, you can throw a mule on the back and pull him around to mobs and he can ride for xp? Sounds exploitable to me.

Aside from allowing ZOS to make Rapids harder to acquire, I can’t see the point of this. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone even mention two seater mounts, let alone argue for them.

when you dismount to fight the passenger will be dismounted as for the leveling an alt that's prob getting into some bad territory i wouldn't recommend pushing it I seem to remember the devs saying if you think its exploiting then you are and they will come at you. However just moving an alt as long as they are both under your control and 'not automated' I don't think there's an issue.

You cannot fight mobs while riding, and exploration exp is super low after the first 10 levels, though.

This is going to be soooooooo good for when I'm playing with my friend and she's too busy eating to ride her horse.

EDIT: I hope they add other types, like wagons. If they're going to stick with the dwemer spider theme, they need to make a really swanky one. If I'm going to have a dwemer spider, I want the Ferrari of dwemer spiders.

I wonder if adept rider works for the passenger.
If so you can dismount in the middle of enemies and your alt gets experience because he's dealing damage.
Finally a use for that set.

if it works like wow - you have control over your camera and when to get on or get off, but the motion is controlled by the player driving the taxi mount. that said, IMO - its much easier to ferry people around wayshrines the way we already can. by using teleport to player feature.

I AM however looking forward to taxi mount as its going to make it MUCH easier to dual box my accounts. because I'm not using any software at all and control characters individually (I have a laptop next to my main PC) and there is no auto follow feature - moving characters individually through the world can get a bit tedious. with taxi mount? at least out doors is going to get a bit nicer.

One cool thing in guild wars 1 was taxing players. People would do it for tips. Make some gold when bored and have a little sight seeing tour for people unlocking outposts for fast travel along the way.

I could be wrong about this but I'm fairly certain you're not allowed to be on two accounts at the same time, even if you're playing them both physically and aren't using and macros or some other program to move them around for you.

I see people dual boxing all the time. The bots multi-box with their trains. Why would this company care about it, they are making money from people buying the game. I really don't let what other people do, bother me, even if I see them doing something that is complete scum-bagginess.

You really think they will be able to make this multi-player mount actually work? People aren't going to be able to hop on, it'll crash their UI, or somehow cause so much lag you'll still be in the mounting up animation long after you've watched your ride disappear into the sunset.
