Stamblade Endgame PvE Rotation: Differences between Summerset and Greymoor

Hello,

My last frame of reference for stamblade endgame PvE (rotation, not sets) dates from forever ago (Summerset). I'm trying to find an updated rotation, but I don't quite trust Alcast on PvE and the patron saint of stamblades ascended to ZoS employment long ago.

If at all possible, does anyone have a credible stamblade endgame pve rotation they could link or post?

Skinnycheeks is usually a good source for endgame builds. It says in the description that it's still a viable rotation for greymoor.

Not sure any endgame player made a vid about stamblade for greymoor as probably everyone playing magicka or quit the game atm. We also have major difference between pts and live so all tests require a lot of farm and some gold/transmutes and no one is stressed about it anyway in current mag meta.

The last reference would be probably skinny cheeks, lulu and liko vids (pretty sure alcast ones are not that much different), but basically on pts stamblade looked like that, was nerfed sadly:

Harrowstorm one that should be pretty viable minus bash weaving we lost:

Can also check esologs website to see what's people are running in terms of skills and gear this patch but don't stress out about actually acquire everything asap as next patch seems to bring another bunch of class and set changes which migh be pretty detrimental.

Is stamblade still a viable DPS for trials? I see so many more magical builds.

    Viable? Yes.
Close to the top? Not really, BFB and thrassian really screwed over stam vs mag balance.

Stam may have parsed higher historically but I think most players run mag in actual content. Sort of like Rele, parsing king but not practical to actually use.

If mag were parsing higher that would tip the scales even further. Really no reason to run stam. I dont think we want that.

    Love this.

I, too, was a huge fan of him, his ‘teachings’ were largely responsible for geting me from a brand new (to the game and class) and very wobbly 9k dps as a stamblade (only character I play), to ~30k now (gasp, yes, still that low) when I am paying attention.

OP, you mention an ‘endgame rotation,’ and an interest in trials - I don’t have a lot of time to farm gear and what I do have is fairly old school - VO and AY - but I don’t hear complaints from the trials mates I do have, and per one of the comments above, certainly continues to be viable.

Thank you for everyone posting and I appreciate the resources. Truth be told I knew stamblades had been nerfed but I've been around long enough that this is my third round of nerfing (after we've been buffed to all hell) so it's not so much an issue.

Honestly I just really want to clear the new vet dungeon challenges with ease, so trials threshold isn't so much a concern. One day the pendulum will swing back and stam will be king again. Such is the way the wheel turns.

So looking at it, it seems we're relying more and more on selenes and rapid strikes as opposed to blood craze and quick cloak. I notice we're slotting a lot more fighter's guild abilities. Does this mean that weapon damage is king now, and we make up crit with the shadow?

Selene's is just wields more damage after the buff and nerf to velidreth, maarselok probably still is the best stamina set but with severe nerf to bash damage most are not wanting to deal with it again for such a sustain cost.

Slotting more FG ones caused mostly by their standardisation process along with dragonhold patch that buffed dots through the roof and then nerfed them yet again next patch so some dots like poison injection isn't worth slotting anymore, you can just use your time way more efficient using just spammable and get way better results. Slotting skills like blade cloak or evasion are mostly situational (vhof for example) than a build staple.

I main a stamblade and I'm in a core progression trials team now. Stamblade got a tiny buff last patch after a year of nerfing. You're right about slotting a Fighter's guild skill on each bar to increase weapon damage. I'm not fully specced (need Master bow) but I'm currently doing 48k on the iron with Rele, Deadly, and Selene's. I keep Camo hunt on the front bar for the buffs. Flurry and Surprise similar dps but one nice thing is now Surprise attack from rear or flank sets off balance.

I'm using perfected look and briar, or rele or new moon depending on the fight with Selene for most fights.

I run hail, trap, vigor, poison inject and relentless on back bar, rending, soul trap, killers blade, surprise attack and siphon on my front bar.

Parse is 63 K on the iron attro

With proper buffs and uptimes, I've seen 45k to 60K depending on the fight with higher execute spikes.
