When will BG exploiters be banned?

As above - what action is taken for people who exploit battleground relics for ap gain?

Today I queued into a relic bg with someone I personally reported for relic exploits over a month ago. I know when this particular person is in my bgs because people immediately leave - he's a known exploiter in the community and people just requeue rather than wait it out. This person has made a significant jump in AP since the last time I personally clipped their antics and remains at the very top of relic capture leaderboards, yet has had seemingly had no intervention or punishment for their obvious exploits.

[snip] from just now. Doesnt break CC and yet picks up relic and then streaks with it.

[snip] from more than a month ago, when I made a meme assuming he would be banned soon after. Picks up relic while dead, respawns with it, picks up relic after being interupted, etc etc, the list goes on, just watch it.

I'd appreciate comments from bg community members who are familar with this. Have you seen something like this before?

The bug for respawning with the relic was supposed to be fixed with Greymoor, IIRC.

Despite the measures of anticheating, which largely are the reason for us being playing a "powerpoint presentation"
rather than an MMO , ZOS fails again in adressing cheaters...
You got to love these people...

It's fairly simple, if you activate an immovable potion you can't be interrupted while picking up the relic. Same thing if you decide to use the heavy armor ability "immovable".

Been around for around 2-3 patches afaik (maybe more who knows)

In the first video I suspect that he's close enough to the relic to initiate the pickup animation and the game glitches out when the fear is applied, but for some reason it doesn't stop the "pick up animation".

My guess is that zos messed something up with stuns/fear/cc immunity.

An interesting situation might be that (assuming there is cheating confirmed by ZOS) someone is in fact banned, but just made another account and came back.
We don't know for sure how banning works or whether it's possible for a banned account to come back and just resume using their former @name. And ZOS doesn't issue cheat reports like SWTOR does, for example.
But if PvP cheaters are a similar breed all over, then SWTOR's report on cheating and the behaviors they have seen may be insightful: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9841239#edit9841239

    In particular,
What we have seen an increase of this season is individuals creating several different accounts to evade new or existing bans, and coming back to resume cheating, hacking, botting, or abusing. I understand that this has fueled the perception that we unban accounts frequently or easily, but I think it’s important to underscore that this isn't the case. We are updating and adapting our detection methods to match the behavior that we’re seeing and that is being reported to us.
So... keep reporting. Every. Single. Time.
I'd suggest ZOS award Crowns for every report they consider well documented (e.g., substantial video proof) -- because it IS in fact a lot of work to file a useful and hopefully actionable report -- but I'm sure some people would find a way to exploit that...

I'm sure investigation takes a lot of work, but even a quarterly report or post-Midyear-Mayhem report on actions taken against cheating would go a long way toward community confidence that ZOS is in fact doing something. @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno

I am sure that this happens.

I doubt that ZOS has an effective way to blacklist a player for all of eternity, no matter how they might evade detection, even if ZOS wanted to do such a thing.

No, they do not. I can think of a few reasons why they don't, and never will... If I went into these in any detail, I would earn myself a short, one-sided conversation with a ZOS forum moderator, so you will have to guess.

I want to point out, for clarity, that this quote is from SWTOR. Citation was not clear.

It is easy to get around "IP bans" and "MAC address bans". Trivial, once you know how to do it. So, for someone who has no clue what I just said, about 30 minutes worth of work. That includes bathroom breaks and a quick snack.

You must be mistaken. Getting rid of premade groups in BGs was the answer to solve everything, BGs has no problems now.

I still see people complaining about premades. Which makes me wonder about things.

These are the worst possible things to ever do and severly punishable indeed, however all the rest actions are totally fine.

How about a guild name: Namers & Shamers or perhaps a moist variant: Namelings & Shamelings
