So from what I gather they can jump dom pc to Mac to any platform that currently allows it and shares the progress
Now if théâtre rings the hey wat about cross platform or one central login for all

Stadia allows for playing the same PC account on multiple devices. It doesn't have certain PC features, like add-ons, but it does use the PC databases.

In contrast, the consoles have different databases, which ZOS has said in the past they can't transfer over to anymore. Moreover, there's the problem of mingling platform play and economies when PC has access to add-ons and consoles do not. So far, there's no evidence ZOS has plans for cross-play between PC and console.

What Varanis said is correct. I can see complications as they point out.

Further, I expect Zos did not want to invest much in Stadia as I doubt it would bring enough players to the game to even consider creating more servers.
    Really, idk

Its not ZOS that is the issue, nor is it sony or xbox or google.

The problem you see is physics.

There is a pesky law of physics that two things can not occupy the same space at the same time and unfortunately that law follows over into computer science.

in 2015 when this game was not on console they offered us PC folks an opportunity to transfer our account into the NEW database of console.

This was possible because there was nothing in that space being created, the new database would be set up with the data being dumped from the PC.

This actually would make it EASIER for the console folks because you have a dataset to begin with and can begin learning the tweaks needed for console.

    Why does this matter?

That space is no longer empty and it was not shared or updated between databases. This means that you have two choices.

    1. Merge the two and let god sort em out.
    2. Keep separate databases and don't let them talk to each other.

Sony and Microsoft don't play nice, so cross there is out, meaning putting resources into 3 or 4 versions of the game (pc, ps4, xbox, ps4->pc, xbox->pc) would be ridiculous.

Why stadia allows this is its an intermediary that doesn't care what input device its playing the game, stadia is always playing on the PC server, which doesn't conflict with the console.

Even if you played ESO through stadia on your XBOX you would be connecting to the PC server.

    Saavy?
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.
