In the deconstruction menu; is there a way to toggle between banked & carried items?

Hello!

In the deconstruction menu; is there a way to toggle between banked & carried items?

Viewing both makes a huge list with only a tiny icon to distinguish between the two. It kinda hurts my eyes when scrolling :pensive:

Kind regards,

In a way, perfectly valid question. Especially if you keep your good items in the bank and simply wish to deconstruct the items you currently have in your player inventory.

I sent a suggestion in order to improve the menu by sorting the items.

One handed weapons and two handed are all in together as well.

Yes, banked and carried items should be highlighted by the icon on the top right corner.

    No, there is not.

However, Zos gave us the ability to lock items to prevent us from deconstructing them or vendoring them. I think locked items do not show up for reconstruction. That shortens the list significantly.

If you are on pc, there is some nice addons which allow item filtering so you can see weapons split by 1h, 2h, ds etc, and same for armour weights. I use one called Advanced Filters (i am sure its called that or similar).

However if you are on console... then I sypathise a tiny bit only.

I did notice this with locked items, but they still clog up the improve/transmute menu.

I guess there's little choice but to lock hundreds of set items until they add a toggle button for "Inventory, Bank, & Inventory/Bank"

I'm on PC but I don't use add ons yet because I'm still learning the game mechanics.

Lock the items you don't want to deconstruct

Absolutely right. You should not use an add-on, if you don't know why. The moment you missing something is the moment to start with add-ons.

I would recommend everybody to try to write an add-on themself. You fix a personal "problem", which is a good way to start learning coding. Better than solving a "task" any teacher can imagine at school.

Don't learn bad habits. There are a core 10 or 12 addons needed for this game. Jump in with both feet. Well, maybe just dip your toes in at first.

Although I do agree that learning how the base game works forst so you can appreciate the addons. Me, I have been running them so long I have forgotten how Crafting and Marketing and Inventory Management and Maps and the UI work stock....lol

AUI (Advanced UI) or LUI Extended (the latter has almost too much information, and, you will disable most of what either of these two addons do if you want a non cluttered screen) Only use one of these, not both.
    Awesome Guild Store
    Advanced Filters
    Lazy Writ Crafter
    Map Pins
    Slightly Improved Experience Bar
    Craft Store
    Potion Maker
    Master Recipe List
    Master Merchant or Trade Tools
Inventory Insight (If you have Alts and or Mules)
    Extended Stats

Addons that are not needed if you have the above, but are nice to have as they add a lot more information to the UI:

Lore Books and Skyshards (are not really needed if you have Map Pins unless you want more detail and these work nicely with Map Pins)
A MiniMap (AUI has one, but you might want more details and I recommend Frykins)

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Thank you for asking this question. I've been looking for an addon to help with that.

BanditUI is probably a better option than AUI/LUI, has a minimap built in, everything can be moved around and disabled or enabled.
And ''AI Research Grid'' is a lighter version of craft store.
Craft store is quite the thick addon.
