Well... the point of this was to sign people up for marketing communications, and by doing so, the player gets a pet. It would seem that the thing for them to do is send an email with the pet code in it. It is an easy way to confirm that you are receiving them. -

I heard tell yesterday that the in-game code redemption system won't work for this promotion; you have to do it
through the website. -
