Vaalkyn skoria is not Working

Good day to you,

as title says, I'm using valkyn skoria on both magicka and stamina characters and I have at least 4 dots in each spec. Valkyn skoria set is not activating as it used to . I noticed this after the new patch was launched and the set in its current state is almost useless. that being said, it is either I have no luck withe set or something is wrong with its proc chance. pre- greymore, the set was proc almost on cooldown, now it takes more than double the cooldown to proc.

It’s definitely bugged. I haven’t been able to get it to proc from status effects or poisons, and it seems to only proc rarely on regular dots.

Just checked it and indeed, it has a way lower proc rate than expected with poison dots. I used Venomous Hunter, Poison injection, poisons as dots and Bombard with Blackrose Prison bow (for extra dot, since I don't use acid spray). Proc rate was 2.9%.

The second time, I removed blackrose prison bow and relied only on Poison Injection, poisons and Venomous Hunter. Proc rate was 0%. Tested it again only with Spriggan's+NMA, without Venomous dot, and proc was again 0%. When I have time, I ll check it with my magsorc too.

(made sure to keep Injection at 100% and relied only on LA)

This confirms some of my suspicions it’s why I switch to grothdar because of how inconsistent valkyn felt this patch.

If I'm reading this correctly, in this fight, Skoria procced 17 times for me over the course of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, which comes out to be once every 15 seconds:

I use four DoTs in my rotation that I'm able to keep up consistently. I've only started running Skoria post-Greymoor because I didn't need the extra health. It seems about on-par with Zaan for me in most cases. I don't know how graphs like this looked pre-Greymoor- anyone have info?

no, in fact they buffed it. they give it spell penetration for 1 piece and slightly nerfed the AOE dmg.

I don’t see anything in the patch notes about a nerf to the AOE proc conditions, @universal_wrath.

Indeed, this appears to be a valid bug.

It does say the "splash damage" which is the AOE from the metoer. Different word was used but it is definetly an AOE dmg type.

The dot from Blackrose Prison Bow isn't suppose to proc Valkyn Skoria, because it already is a proc and procs are not supposed to proc procs.

If it's a valid bug, why don't you post it in the bug reports section of the forums? Greater chance someone who can do something will take a look at it.

I'm not sure if it is a bug or not. Beside, even if it is a bug, posting on the bug section will not do anything. ZOS has already proven to me that they care less about fixing bugs. All I want to know is that if i is a bug or not, becasue I will be droping the set in the bank until further notice.

Still never hurts to submit it anyway. They can still just ignore it or maybe look at it in a few weeks.

it does not proc of proc's which is why, if you use elemental wall etc it procs for me all the time on first hit, it also procs of other magicka stuff on my mag dk

I am not a 100% sure but poisons and status effects might be considered as procs, similar to "proc sets" and might not activate Valkyn anymore?

(this note was from Ilambris but it should count for all proc sets)

However, the procs seem to be way too low yes.

Did someone do a test over 3 minutes with procs and one test with only DoT skills?

If you see picture in my first post, you can see I only use venomous as proc set dot beside valkyn, red mountain is direct dmg but has a chance to apply burning statue. I have 4 abilities that does dmg over time and 2 of them are aoe, not considering my ultimate and, status effect "if they proc valkyn skoria", abd double dot poison sometime. I still have a very low chance of activating valkeyn skoria even against multiple mobs using aoe dots.

I was doing some BGs the other day and had some templar proc valkyn skoria on me 3 time on cooldown just by using vampire bane.
