How to destroy a house item?

Hi,
I was asked by customer support to destroy an item that I accidentally bought but I cannot find how to do it.
Whenever I select it I do not have an option to put it to my inventory.

    Retrieve the item from the housing editor, and then right click and destroy from your inventory.

    If I take an item from my house using the housing editor (on console, at least), the “Put Away” option places it in my inventory.

    EDIT: that sounds stupid now that I read it, but I think that’s what it said, not in game right now
