Has anyone built any stables they're really proud of?

Its a simple one but i often use the orc tents (thenone crown ones) as a base but as seen here i feel they can be done with anything.

Oh, it's nice! I quite like the simplicity. It looks like an appropriate space for those guar, and I like that they're sheltered but still visible.

Haven't built one, but finally had enough slots to furnish one properly, when I did The Snowglobe.

Normally just don't have the spare slots for it.

The water-filled troughs are a nice addition, although the wood colour of the original (empty) troughs looked better in this stable, in my opinion.

Would help if we also had hay-filled troughs and large, rectangular patches of strewn straw.

So, the floor covering would take 4, to 6, furnishing slots; not 51, as this did:

I admire your dedication to that straw floor! I agree with pretty much everything you said. Straw floor covering is needed, and the color of the water troughs doesn't really match much.

Here's my stable at the Snowglobe.




I have frustrations with it. It needs straw, like you said, and I wish the walls on the Hlaalu shed were flipped (so that there'd be a nice partition INSIDE the stable). Right now the Indriks are in a weird display alcove. I could remove the back wall perhaps and just put a small garden where the Indriks are, I suppose, and move them inside. It'd be weird, but maybe less weird than this.

Your stable looks gorgeous, with, or without the straw all over the floor.

Although, I agree it would be better if the shed part was accessible from the rest of the stable.

I just wanted to make it look cosy, as it's in such a cold looking location.

I probably could have put some sort of wooden, half wall at the front, but I wanted to still be able to see the animals and was running out of slots!

Mainly due to all the straw (well, wheat, actually!)...

@Tigerseye Oh, yes, I understand. Being able to see the animals has been a concern of mine. That may not be an issue with the pathing feature coming. I'm envisioning being able to tell the animals to step out of the stable and hang out when they're feeling social.

Well, first, I moved the Indriks. Momma is inside with the little ones, and Papa is hanging out at the entrance. Then I threw together a small flower arrangement in the nook, like I said. It does look better, if not quite like a stable, I think. Then I thought about your wheat floor, and I remembered that I took Elsweyr vines and tipped them on their sides to create fallen leaves at my Coven Cottage, and I supposed Indriks might not mind lying on a bed of leaves! I'll add more if I finish constructing other parts of the house and still have slots left over. I'm really loving the vampire sconces. They give off such a sweet, soft pink light. It looks just like the Himalayan salt light bulbs I use in my bedroom. Sorry if it's hard to see. I'm photosensitive so I keep my brightness down, and of course it had to be night when I went to grab pictures. lol

I really like the stables in this thread. Mine are a bit boring and everyone's pictures have given me lots of ideas to work with

Using the vines like that was an inspired idea.

Yeah, I really like this chapter's lighting, as it's all very slightly pinkish and the colour washes across the walls in a really subtle, but pretty, way.

Have you tried placing a Argonian canopy in the floor as it has a straw roof.

Have you tried placing a Argonian canopy in the floor as it has a straw roof.

It's a good idea and I certainly think it would be better than nothing, if you had almost no slots left, especially in a small stable.

Although, the straw is very flat, a bit low res and all lies in the same direction.

Also, it has wooden pegs sticking out of the corners and one edge.

I had one as a shelter for my poor horse, which has to live next to the barn/crafting room in Old Mistweil, and this is what it looks like when sunk into a floor (ignore the cushions and the chicken!):

Also, I think gold coloured straw would be nicer for this purpose than the greyish stuff they give us.

When I used to go riding, the stables used golden (maybe wheat, or barley?) straw to cover the floors and it was far more attractive.

Thank you! I had used the trellis as a back wall decoration for the stable that comes with Hunding's, and so when I had to find something to build a small stable in Dawnshadow they came to mind because of that

Oops, sorry I missed that.

I have used imgur but I also use a USB to upload there on my computer as well.

I don’t use the web browser on PS4 so I don’t have any suggestions there.
