I guess that would be the only reason. It would look cool and it would make sense to go along with all the 1H. I saw a lot of posts of people demanding stuff, so here's mine.

That would be ideal as a 2h version of dagger, but ZOS wouldn't change the attack animation. It would just look like you were swinging a giant stick at people.1 -

They could 'borrow' the aedric spear animations to an extent. But they probably won't make new animations, which is what they should do.0
