Rather than faster respawn I'd prefer a visual/audio clue that the chest/node is less than it should be - then I could make an informed choice about going to take a look or not.

If you come up to a chest that has already been opened, you do not have to unlock it.

The same does not apply to resource nodes, though.

Thanks (yes, I know) - I meant at longer range. :) . @idk helpfully made it clearer with a more concrete suggestion for chests.

I was probably thinking more along the lines of a node/chest with a swarm of flies over it, kind of like carrion, maybe. A colour change probably wouldn't be useful for colour blindness - well, not alone.

Just not sure what would work just *something* that you see a chest/node at distance and could see at range and in an instant whether or not it's been tampered with so you could decide whether or not to take a look.

I don't have Greymoor but have been told there's a new pasive that makes chests visible from distance; maybe a new passive or variation of that to show tampered chests and fiddling with the keen-eye passive for tampered nodes. Maybe??

While I understand people not wanting to read an entire thread before replying, they could at least read as far as the first reply.

There is no respawn penalty in leaving something in a chest. As such I don't mind in the slightest if someone leaves crafting mats, research gear or decon gear for me. The next chest will come along just as fast as if they had picked it clean.

Also, wanting chests to respawn faster albeit in a different location overlooks the fact that most if not all chests have set spawn locations and where they exist in abundance (such as one zone in particular that I won't name) there is already said to be a problem with bots and faster respawns would only exacerbate that.

In short, the system is fine as it is.
