Tooltip says: Furnishing Behavior - Visual FX. But I'll be darned if I can see anything other than a broken sword on an Ayleid plinth.

How do we make it sparkle and dance? There is no interactive prompt. Or was the magic left out of it by accident?

    Yeah I got one of these and plunked it down to see what it did aaaaaand...nothing. Doesn't do anything when initially placed except be a thing with another thing on it with neither things doing anything special, and there's no prompt to make either of the things do a thing, either.

    Even if it's low on the priority list, if it's a simple matter to fix (as opposed to those things you mentioned), it'll probably get handled before them, especially if it's just a matter of someone forgetting to add in a flag or trigger or whatever you want to call it that makes the thing do the thing.

    Not saying I wouldn't prefer seeing other, more important things fixed first, but a lot of these things have been present for so long (stuck in combat and its various offshoots, such as the door in Wayrest, being one prime example) that I have zero hope for them being resolved over more minor things like this. It does make me wonder how the process for deciding what gets worked on at any given time goes, though, like how they decide whether they should try fixing any given issue over any other given issue. I imagine they'd look at the most obvious, easiest fixes, and if none of them are applicable, the problem gets tossed into a bin I think is probably labeled something like "Problems We Know Exist But Take Too Much Effort and/or Revenue To Fix Without A Profitable Return So It Can Wait A Year Or Five".

    I think it'd look neat if you could place a skyshard inside of the plinth, as in layer the plinth over it, and have the blue beam blasting through the middle of the sword!

    PS: I see you are admitting your guilt in theft of all those inventory items in the first screen shot.😉👍

    Isn't the Sorcerer King the Endboss from Elder Scrolls Blades? He is a Lich mage and wields such a sword.

    I thought mine was just bugged or something. Shame. For a unique antiquity, it's just a broken sword on a dusty piece of stone.

    Kudos for the LOTR reference but I was expecting something nice and flashy.

    Good to know it's not just bugged for me, but not working in general :grimace: I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to find out what the "visual fx" might be here, but to no avail. I was hoping it would mean we could, you know, renew the blade that was broken (though I guess that's more "animation" than "visual fx"...).

    I also wonder if it's really a reference to the Sorcerer-King in Blades, or to one of the many other Ayleid sorcerer-kings. Would be nice if they used it as a means to try and tie Blades more into the rest of the Elder Scrolls games that way. :smile:

    You know, I sure hope it isn't activated by defeating a boss in another game, or something like that. That would be the ultimate cross platform money grab. Kind of like what Niantic did with Pokemon Go, by giving you rewards in that phone game by playing Let's Go Pikachu on the Nintendo Switch.

    That just gave me an idea. If zeni ever needs to make more money, they can attach real world coupons to leads. So if you dig up a lead, it comes with a 50c off coupon for Starbucks.

    I know it's kinda immersion breaking, but I would get a kick out of digging up coupons. There could be ultra rare coupons like a free car that would keep people digging around the clock. Then zeni could monetize it further by adding an antiquities perk to eso+, where you can store unlimited leads, so you don't have to dig up all the lame coupons to get new ones.

    And then they can use your character in targeted adds. Imagine seeing one of you characters in a pop up add asking you to buy Domino's pizza?! Wouldn't that be great? You favorite character asking you to buy your favorite pizza.

    I think there should be more real world integration.

    it's a relatively rare drop from Cyro town dailies, maybe 1 or 2% drop rate to get the lead. I've done a good number of town dailies during this event (between two characters), and only got the lead once.

    Pro tip: Don't buy Greymoor, because I've only done maybe 12 quests in Cropsford and already got two of them. ;)

    Handed in one daily in Bruma yesterday and got the Sorcerer-King's Blade lead. Handed in another Bruma quest today, and got the lead again.
