Use of Snowtreaders in PvP?

Snowtreaders are boots that grant immunity " to Snares and Immobilizations that can be cleansed. While in combat, you cannot Sprint."
Used them on my Magplar in PvP (Cyro) , curious to see what effect it would have on mobility and stamina use during mass fights.
However, I get stunned a lot more.
I think this is because I do no longer get the cc-immunity from soft-cc's, because of the boots and I'm prone to certain stuns.
Which "snares and immobilizations" can't be cleansed?
What difference is there between Snowtreaders and the skill Unstoppable / Immovable considering cc's?
EDIT: I also need to wrap my head about how cc-immunity works, found this post, which explains it some more. Not sure how much of it is still accurate, as the topic is from the beginning of 2018.
