Oh, that is IT. I can't take it anymore. This is an absolutely stupid thing that is an inexplicably huge problem for me. I'm riding around on my horse, and I try to jump over a puddle, or a rock, or a sinister looking shrub. A torchbug happens to be in the way. When I press (X), the game thinks I want to collect this torchbug, but I can assure you I have never wanted to and could never conceive of a reason to collect a torchbug. If my toon doesn't fall face first into the puddle, he dismounts, reaches out, and squishes the torchbug in his greedy little hand. Then he, I don't know, shoves it in his mouth, I presume.

What oddly specific problems do you all have?

Torchbugs are good.

Torchbugs can drop Torchbug Thorax.

Torchbug Thorax can be used to make Detection potions.

More Torchbugs, please!

I don't know how many times I have tried to collect a torchbug or butterfly only to have it be the pet of some player who's avatar hasn't loaded in yet. No idea why the pet loads first but I get a chuckle every time it happens.

I once saw another player try really, really hard to collect my butterfly pet so I sent them a butterfly wing for their troubles

They also sorta kinda maybe get a little annoying when you're trying to scan the distance looking for that twinkling light given off by a dig site.
Smoosh away, I say. Or pray to the Eight that an invasive blue species of torchbug comes in and breeds the yellow ones out of existence.

It is entirely possible that I have spent many minutes trying to harvest my own torchbug pet, before realizing why I couldn't. >_>

That's just realistic. Moths are like this in real life!

My oddly specific problem is how to avoid those Kotu Gava bugs. I try to steer clear of them as much as possible, and would gladly run into the arms of a Daedroth to avoid them!

Really, the "normal" kotu gava aren't much of an issue. The serious issue is with the broodmothers - especially when there are two or three of them....
