Icereach berries still available at next event?

Since I hate pvp to the point that it makes me physically ill to even contemplate going into Cyrodiil (and no, I don't need your comments on how PvE players just *have* to adjust to doing PvP...), I would very much appreciate a statement by ZOS on whether the Icereach berries will still be available at the next event.

Could we please have a definite statement here, @ZOS_GinaBruno ? Thank you.

The first two were available from the anniversary event so I don't know about that.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

If they go by every other event, they won't be. They tend to only be sold until the event that gives you access to the 4th berry and then they get replaced by the next type.

Since the 3rd and 4th berries are on the Impresario for this event, it's not likely they'll be available in the next one, sorry.

They might add them some time in the future, like when they had all the berries ever at one of the previous events.

Personally I don't like this particular indrik all that much, but now I'm pissed I wasted event tickets on the first 2 berries...

I know you said you don't want advice on getting tickets, but you can get 2 per day doing a scouting quest in Cyrodiil, which is literally 100% PvE and can be completed with no combat of any kind. You're given a location on the map, you get there and press F (you just need to be in the general area, not right on the map marker) and then go back to the board to collect the reward. As long as you stay away from wherever the map shows attacks happening you're unlikely to even see other players the entire time.

The only hard part is (sometimes) finding your way there, because Cyrodiil is divided up with impassable mountain ranges or rivers full of slaughterfish with only a couple of paths through each one, so getting between locations can be time consuming. But you can save some time by using Transitus Shrines to teleport to the nearest fort your alliance owns. On a good day it takes me 5 minutes to complete one. On a bad day it's longer, but it's literally just time spent riding across empty countryside.

(Also one trick I discovered a while back - if your destination is a long way away or annoying to get to and your alliance doesn't own much on the map you can try switching to another campaign. It's a gamble because you can't check what they control first, but it might open up a teleport location in or near the quest location.)

Just roll dc and do the 'burn the balistas' quest in IC. You can do the entire quest stealthed up and the final quest point is right next to the closest sewer entrance for the dc base.

That's 20 event tickets if you do the quest every day.

    @Ravensilver
I'm a PvEer myself so I 100% understand not wanting to do PvP to get tickets. Historically, though, once the last Berry for any given Indrik is released, that's the only event it's available for, because the next event introduces the first Berry for the next Indrik (which we can already see whenever we go to the Impresario to spend tickets, so it's already ready to go). It's very unlikely that the Icebreath Indrik's Berries will be available after MYM ends.

That said, adding on to an easy way to get tickets is to go into IC and get the district scouting daily. All you have to do is go up into the matching district from your Alliance's base and slap a banner up. Because the banner is right near where you come out, there's literally no PvP (you're in a safe zone and no one from an enemy Alliance can attack you) and once you're done you can turn around and go right back down to turn in the quest and get your tickets. Only takes a few seconds and there's zero chance of dealing with actual PvP.

Edited to add apparently the only quest in IC that doesn't require you to deal with the risk of PvP doesn't count towards getting tickets, just did it myself and didn't get any. That really sucks imo since it would have been a perfect way for people not wanting to mess with PvP in general to get at least half their daily tickets for Berries or whatever. I'd say you could just do an easy town daily in Cyro, but even those can be a pain.

4 tickets a day, event lasts 13 days, 52 tickets through the current event.

as for berries, they're most likely going away after this event, so grab your 4 berries now otherwise you have to wait till the winter/newyear event returns.

Also people struggling its damn simple you dont even have to pvp.

Cyrodiil campaign; grab scout bounty, go to location can stay pretty far from the location and do the interaction, press E, let the animation finish, return to base to turn in quest, congrats 2 tickets.
IC, go to the ladders to exit the sewers choose elven district, burn some ballistas destroy a forge (simply killing a couple daedra to access it) done, turn in quest congrats another 2 tickets.

You've probably heard this before, but you don't actually have to do any PvP to get your tickets.

In Cyrodiil do scouting board missions. I think most PvEers assume the town missions are the most PvE friendly because they mimick normal PvE type missions, but you're kind of a sitting duck doing those. The scouting board mission NPC (which is actually just a notice board) is in your home base where you can't be attacked, they send you to a random spot on the map with a large radius (important because it means gankers can't predict where someone might show up and wait), you press 1 button when you're within the vacinity and that's it. If you stay clear of keeps and outposts along the way you're unlikely to run into anyone friend or foe, because contrary to what you might believe by reading the forum there aren't gankers hiding behind every tree, they stay near objectives where they can predict people showing up, like everyone else. It's just a long horse ride through some of the nicest scenery in the game for an easy 2 tickets.

Imperial City dailies take a slight bit more effort, but pick a district that has a lot of buildings for cover so you can stay off the streets and it's really no different than doing quests for the thieves guild and dark brotherhood. Easier actually, because you're not being timed.

This might all sound like some variant of PvEers just have to adjust to PvP but, well you either want your tickets or don't.

I have to confess that even the thought of heading into Cyrodiil gives me a mild panic attack. But I already have two of the berries and a nascent indrik ready to transform, so I guess I'll have to try my best...

We don't actually know if they're going to do that again this year or not, so I wouldn't go telling people they can get Berries they miss at the end of the year. While it makes sense they'd do it, this is ZOS we're talking about, and there's no guarantee they will.

Someone once told me they said all the Indrik pets would be coming back as well, so I decided to save my tickets and not get the very first one. I’ve never seen it come back yet...it’s the only one I’ve not gotten, and of course it’s my favorite one because of the coloring 😟

I'm not a PvP-er at all - my 'tactic' in Cyrodiil/IC is to stand still and let them hit me until I die - but I don't have any problem doing the scouting missions. In fact, I can't think of an instance where I've even so much as encountered a player from another alliance, even when I've had to scout deep into 'enemy' territory.

The Imperial City dailies are also do-able, if you don't mind dying some... I pick up all six dailies (go up the ladder, grab the quest, and then back down the ladder to the sewer base) and then bounce between the districts as the control shifts from alliance to alliance. When I'm done with all six, I hand in one quest, and save the other five for the next few days... when I hit a day when my alliance controls things, I redo the quests I've handed in, to get another few days buffer.

Maximum event tickets with minimal PvP pain. :)

If you are on PC-NA and would like to try the IC dailies, I can help with that. My best characters are EP, but I have characters in every alliance.

As theskymoves mentioned above, you can grab all 6 quests, do them by moving from district to district and then just hand one in each day. That has you set for 6 days (per character).

Some of my guildies an I did this on 2 characters before the event started, so now I can PvP or run around IC if I feel like it, but I don't *have* to. I just log in to a character and hand in a quest.

I kinda felt this way, but honestly there is no pvp in cyrodil. If you get ganked think of it like a disconnect.

Just use transitis to go near a town with daily quests and do one of the quests. That's it. Most of them are simple fetch or kill quests.

In ic, there is one of the districts that has a simple kill quests. Just go in there and kill ten dremora. If you get ganked, think of it like a disconnect.

Just did the ticket dailies twice again today. No need to have to PvP.

Find a Cyrodiil campaign where your alliance has a town and go to the town for a quick quest and ticket. If you run into an enemy, just keep running. Or die.

Twice in a row I got a quest from the Memorial District in IC. I just had to kill 2 NPC mobs and then do something to 4 skeletons. When I did it today, I died once to other players killing the NPC, died once doing the thing to the skeletons, and then let other players kill me for a quick return to the base.

As well a s doing the 1 per zone per day

If your Alliance controls a large part of the map/IC do a few quest but dont hand in - there are a number of PvE quests in Cyrodil from the 'cities'
& enter a Cryodil campaign to get out of IC when done
That way you have something for the poorer days..

I know the feeling, but it's really not as bad as you might think. The Cyrodiil map is absurdly huge for the amount of people it can accomodate, and is designed for large groups working together, so actual PvPers tend to be clustered in a few locations, which are easy to spot because they're marked as being under attack. The vast majority of the map is empty space.

When I first started going there I wasted so much time trying to not only sneak everywhere but stay under cover (wearing dull coloured clothing to make sure I didn't stand out) and well away from anything that even resembled a road or path and going way out around any town, keep or any type of building to make sure I wouldn't be seen by enemy players. Then after a while I began to realise I wasn't seeing anyone at all, even when I was forced close to a road or had to go through a mile gate because there's no way around them. So I started taking a few more risks - going out in the open, riding if I'm going a long distance, following roads etc.

Now I will literally ride in a straight line to my destination (except when there's scenery in the way of course) and go round forts just beyond the aggro range of the NPC guards. I have occasionally been killed by other players, but it's pretty rare because anyone you meet doing scouting missions is likely to be on their way somewhere too and doesn't want to waste time fighting one person or getting killed by them (they may also be a PvE player trying to do a scounting mission). And if they do kill you then you just respawn and do it again, like in PvE.

When I was collecting skyshards I even managed to go into the normally sealed area just outside an enemy base (someone had broken down the gate), collect both skyshards and get right up to the wall of their base without seeing any other players.

It might help to pick a lower population campaign (on PC EU that's the 7-day no CP ones), but I don't think it makes a big difference.

I think they brought back the other indriks last year because there were so many problems with the events. It got to the point where at least one event (the Undaunted one) was cancelled entirely because the entire system wasn't working, so they had to add extra tickets to New Life to compensate, but then needed something to avoid people being stuck with nothing to spend tickets on and bringing back the previous indriks was an easy solution.

I'd like to see them all made available again, but I wouldn't count on it happening just because they did it once before.
