Really? Your response to meeting a (literally) bloodthirsty immortal being, who could easily rip your face off like it's nothing, is to say "Talk to the hand" and walk away smugly? You sound like a cliquish teen girl meeting the unpopular kid 
I think this could work with the exact same mechanic, but instead be more of a panicky, "Please don't hurt me!!!" with a message like "This person is too afraid of you to interact"
The current response just pisses me off and makes me wish I could kill merchants...

Ardaghion✭✭✭✭Some NPCs have some believable fear responses, some won’t talk at all, some will treat you as if you are normal. Some also can’t be mesmerized.
The game alert is a bit matter of fact, a better response there would be nice.0
