How about NO maintenances anymore

I know that the maintenances must be made so the product keeps functioning properly.

But it's the exact opposite for ESO. Maintenances, which are supposed to fix issues, are one of the main sources of the issues.

Imagine if there was no maintenance today. What would happen? We'd all be playing the game like usual. What's going to happen if you don't do maintenances is not any worse than what happens when you do maintenance. It's actually probably much better. This is not a properly functioning product anyway and everybody knows that nothing will be fixed but still we're able to play to a degree so why keep breaking it?

Well, what usually happens when they skip maintenance on a Tuesday, is that the game performance worsens by Thursday and crashes with emergency hotfixes by Sunday.

It would be like if you've stopped brushing your teeth - it would look ok for a while, at least on the surface. Then you'd start getting small cavities ... which would grow and grow. Finally you'll wake up one day in terrible pain and you're dentist will tell you half of youre teeth needs to be pulled out, or you simply die from sepsis instead. Brush your teeth, kids! (And patch your game.) It might be hassle, but it's worth it in the long run.

But what if this is the brush I'm using?

How about a rollback to the 1.1?

(The Tamriel one was 1.4, right?)

I don't think this topic has to be taken at face value. I think the tone was intended to be ironic and to point out, that this time, attention to the servers had the adverse effect and not the lack thereof (the usual culprit). At least I hope so. But the teeth brushing analogy was enlightening. Next time maybe squeeze in the children's all time best seller "Every goes to the bathroom".

Quite possibly the "est"thing I've ever heard lol, well almost. I had a friend once ask me if you pay your electric and your light bill seperate as he was moving out of his mom's house. But close.

GW2 has maintenance but they dont take the servers down. The only reason to take the servers down is to speed up maintenance and not require the system to be monitored all the time.

This patch was extra important. There were literally bugs that lag spiked any time you gained EXP from any source, and one that prevented people from using the Fence and selling items.
