Please ZOS rethink Midyear Mayhem (My take on what is causing the server issues).

The same issues occured last year when you tried to do the maintenance for this event.
Then when the event actually got off the ground it kept breaking the servers.
This is why we had this event in January this year to replace the missing event from last year.
Don't know why it worked fine in January yet gets the same problem in again June?
Please consider removing the event for now because I can see if it does get off the ground again it will cause the same issues. Maybe rename it to fit the time it does work.

And not has anything to do with the Login Server failure. It happened for Greymoor Update, it happens like 2x every month at EU server at regular maintenances and has happened for the last couple years.
So got nothing to do with Mayhem event.
But yeah, people always try to find the weirdest things to blame..4 -

The exact same thing happened last June.
This maintenance was to add extra campaigns for the event.
Caused exactly the same issues with passwords.
Event WAS taken down after a few days.
Replacement event was in January because they couldn't fit it in anywhere else.
No idea why it worked in Jan but not now but exactly same issues at the same time cannot be coincidence.

Give away the Indrik to the grand total of 7 people who still care about it, or whatever.
Otherwise we'll have literal days of unstable servers, maintenances, downtimes to fix the maintenances, unplayable lag, and login issues. It's already started. Not sure why ZOS never learn, because they keep doing the same thing with constant server issues and breaking the game again and again every maintenance.

kingsforged✭✭✭Cyrodil is barely playable for most people during peak times already, one of my guilds was saying how they're having to adapt to create 'lag-builds' that are basically just 1-bars because they can't reliably switch.
Midyear is going to be an unplayable, lag-filled, disconnect ridden, broken mess. They should cancel all events and focus all their resources on fixing the CORE issues that have plagued the game since the beginning.
They should at the very least know their OWN track record with expansion releases bringing a million new bugs and know not to even attempt to hold an event this close to it.2 -

I'm pretty sure that was Mayhem. It was the reason we had that short replacement in January (I think it was just a week). So I'm not sure the OP is incorrect. Just keep the additional servers active all year so you won't have to go through this each time.1 -

So your proof and source of stuff you are saying is the name of the event and you are clueless January 2019 also had midyear mayhem or that reason for cancelling june 2019 mayhem was:In light of our ongoing work to improve game performance and the Activity Finder, we are holding the Midyear Mayhem event until next year to ensure that the player experience is a good one. In its place, we are moving forward the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event, which will run from July 2 to July 15, and will give players the chance to earn the Event Tickets needed to start the Onyx Indrik mount evolution.2 -

Problem is poor server performance that is unable to handle the load.
( numbers are made up )
Lets say you have 1 000 000 000 mil users. But they cant all play at the same time. So you bet, based on statistics, that 100-120 000 people will be loged in on average. Then you take a peak of 150 000 as possible. And you optimize ( pay for server performance ) with this number in mind.
ZOS is gambling on much lower player numbers, because we have peaks and trows in player numbers during the day. That is why you have good performance at 8am and horrible at 8pm. It would seem ZOS is taking overall average when planing for server performance , not taking into account player count fluctuation.
Then you have events like Midsummer, server that are unable to handle loads on normal day, let alone day one of an event and we, players, basically DDOS login servers.
All of that because ZOS is too cheap to invest into proper structure but would rather nickle and dime for every ounce of server performance with what they have. So far fixes were software based and not hardware, because software is cheap and hardware very, very expensive and ZOS has shareholders to appease and not customers. Customer is always last because we are generators of expense. For ZOS managers we cost too much to invest into proper infrastructure.3 -

Actually they replaced the mayhem event with the TG and DB event after it was taken down.
Also you are only placing partial information to back your side of things.
I have posted all the dates so far not just the ones that back my claims.
