Slow dungeon queue?

So I have a group of 3. A DPS, healer, and a tank. Yet we have to wait more than 20 minutes to get in a dungeon? How hard is it to find 1 DPS player? This is the second night in a row.

The queues weird. If I queue solo as a tank its instant. If I get with a guildie and we go in as two, it takes longer. Three longer still.... Four? Pot luck. It obviously should be instant, bit frequently it gets confused and just hangs there. The trick seems to be leaving and requeuing; swapping leader and requeuing; flipoing the vet / normal toggle amd requeuing. But its weird I get in quicker solo than with a full group. My theory is that the dungeon finder isnt very bright or, possibly, has just had a few. It can add up 1+1+1+1 but if you add big numbers like well, 2 or even, god forbid, 3 its got really think about it. Or possibly check with the boss.

How stupid that makes zero sense. Three nights in a row now, and I guess this is just normal. They need to fix it. Also why can we not queue for battlegrounds at all? At this rate it's not an MMO if I cannot play with my friends..

If there is a massive imbalance of single DD players (which there is) and the main priority is reducing this number, then there’s a kind of *** logic in focusing primarily on creating groups that take 2 DDs from the pile rather than just one.

This might mean that any group that required just a single DD would be less prioritised (as it only reduces the DD queue by one). Similarly even full groups might suffer as they don’t reduce the DD pile (and random daily reward hunting aside they don’t actually need the group finder and can simply port in to any dungeon they like).

An individual tank or healer should get a group almost instantly. As would a 2 person group of a tank and a healer.

In any case, group finder is not the sharpest tool in the toolbox

Grouping in the dungeon finder is beyond weird sometimes.

When you que as single dps you wait 20 minutes because there’s too Many dps.

When you que in group that needs a dps you Also wait, sometimes for 10-15 minutes.

I have a theory as to why this might be the case. The dungeon finder puts people into groups instantly. Not full groups mind you. But for example, if two DPS join the queue separately, the dungeon finder puts them together in a group and then goes on the lookout for a tank and a healer to finish it out. So basically if there were a thousand DPS in the queue, what you actually have is five hundred groups consisting of two DPS looking for tanks and healers.

What this means is that if you're in a group looking for just one DPS, well, there isn't one DPS available because they are all already in groups of two. You need to wait for a new one to join the queue and be the next group in the list that was short one DPS to get that new one assigned to you.

Anyway, it's just a theory and I haven't really looked that deep into it. But I think there's a good chance it hits somewhere close to the mark.

If you are tank, or if you have a tank with you in your group and the queue does not pop after 2 minutes, get out of the queue and back in. It will pop (sometimes you need to do that 2 - 3 times)

if you are a healer, give it 3 minutes

Not sure what the hell is broken with this thning, but something clearly is (sometimes it won't even pop with a full group unless you rejoin the queue)

A Tank or Healer has never ever waiting times of more than 2 - 3 minutes. If it happens, it's broken again.

There's multiple reasons behind that problem.

1. As there's too many DPSes in the game, they tend to group up to speed up the queue meaning there's often a problem to find a single DPS.
2. The queue is pretty straightforward, it doesn't differentiate between players. A good LFG would just add a player queueing for a random dungeon to a group that queued for a specific dungeon and just give out different rewards at the end. That's not how the system works however, so if you're singed up for a particular dungeon, you need to find a player that's signed up for the same dungeon or rot in the queue.
3. You sometimes bug out in the queue - if you're queued for more than a minute in a setup like that (tank, healer, dps), just requeue.

Usually in solo DD, queuing for random dungeon take me about 20/30 Min... which is a pain...
Since yesterday, it simply just not working anymore.
I'm at this time at 1h10 min queuing.... how I'm supposed to get my daily xp now ?

Dungeon finder is even more broken than usual, Zos please take a look at it, it's a s serious issue.
I'm not playing at eso, I'm just waiting at eso and it's boring.... really boring, I don't know if my patience will not break and stop the game for a few time to be honest.
