High lvl's in Public Dungeons

High Lvl's are ruining Public dungeons with their endless running through of dungeons, trying to do it without someone just running from boss to boss, no enjoyment when your trying to take down boss and High Lvl flies in and takes it down in seconds, if their doing it for XP then you need to put in mechanism that drops XP off significantly to stop this bad behavior.

These people are more then likely just trying to get a lead to drop.

And we all know how bad RNG is in this game.

Probably killed all the bosses a million times at this point, not interested in trash pulling, and just want the boss lead(s) to drop so they can move on.

This will probably return to more normal after antiquities has been out a bit and most people of gotten the things they're currently after. (or not, who knows)

Unfortunately there are a couple of motivating factors for players to farm these bosses. The first is that they may drop desirable set gear. The second was introduced with Greymoor as they now may drop antiquities leads for mythic items.

As such players will repeatedly kill these bosses until they get the drop they are after. I agree it is disruptive to players that may be wanting to enjoy the public dungeon at their own pace, but it is a "public dungeon" so to an extent you have to acknowledge that other players may be there for different reasons, in this case to farm the bosses to get the drop asap. The same issue occurs in many other scenarios as well - delve bosses, world bosses etc.

I can't really see a way around it given the public nature of these areas, although it could be mitigated a bit if the drop rates were better for the desirable items as this would mean players would spend less time having to farm them. But I don't really see ZOS doing this, as they want those drops to be "hard"/"rare" (read: time consuming) to acquire.

Looking for antiquities leads is what it is for me. If the leads didn't drop from a public dungeon, I wouldn't be in there.

"PUBLIC" Dungeon. They are not designed for anyone specifically and anyone can go.

I also wouldn't mind if ZoS would add a story mode to every multiplayer instance (delve, public dungeon, dungeon, trial etc.), but this is a multiplayer game so you will have to accept that there are players with many different needs and likes.

So actually I think the problem will be worse and continuous. You seriously think ZOS won't milk Antiquities by adding a new set next year so we'll grind everywhere all over again?

Some instancing would be great, like in Craglorn delves.

Well to be honest, when I mention "normal", I wasn't meaning that this kinda thing would disappear.

Because there are still set gear pieces in the dungeons that people will always be wanting/needing.

The addition of antiquities has just elevated this issue, and I suppose at this point that bit will be a fluctuating issue, depending on the cadence of new items getting added in and how long RNGesus makes the grind to get them.

Yeah there's that. For sure I see less people posting that they have the Wild Hunt Ring or Thrassian's or Malacath's (for example). We'll see if Antiquities quiets down by Q4 once the initial rush for the new items is over.

Unfortunately ZOS are no longer implementing new content, the whole antiquities skill is based on grinding out old content. Imagine a whole new skill based on killing previous content?

Erm, didn’t we get a whole new chapter zone recently?
