I have played this game for 4 years an at no time have I thought of stopping until now. The timeout of loading screens just walking is driving me nuts. I’ve had the game freeze, completely reboot my system, npc’s that can’t be targeted......other things.

PLEASE FIX THIS VERY BROKEN AREA!!!

When people complained in the past I was lucky that I usually only had mild performance issues...but since greymoor my fps has tanked, freezes, crashes, loading screens... not really sure what is going on and if its a problem of the chapter itself or simply the influx of players...

I am sure they'll fix it just after the performance issues in Cyrodiil are resolved............. oh.

I believe next week (6/29) is the next scheduled maintenance, @Ejpatalon.

    How is this even possible?

I know if I were on their staff and were a person who took pride in the quality of my work in any amount whatsoever, I would have insisted we put out a patch to fix the most egregious of the bugs last week. Putting it off to today would have filled me with an overwhelming sense of near-unbearable shame. Putting it off to next week would have killed any pride I had ever had in my performance of my duties.

But what do I know? I have a job where I'm expected to take responsibility for my mistakes and fix them immediately--and I've been threatened with firing the couple of times I made a mistake that ever made it to the client. It probably biases me.

I am met with the same standards, but 'real' jobs are much different than video game development, because our jobs involve working directly face to face with a client/customer or deal with sensitive information. All we can do is cry on a forum, so they really don't have any responsibility toward us and they get no repercussions it seem..

Personally, I blame the management and how they "communicate". ZOS just likes to absolve themselves of accountability via their TOS. It's sad that the CMs can't make a to-do list of hot-topics and regularly follow up with the player base. That's change management 101.

Yep even in streams people ask for performance stuff and they ignore it. Sad really. But what do you expect they rather keep shaking us to use crown store. Inb4 performance updates are crown purchases.

Can it be fixed? Perhaps. Years of inattention (and poor "fixes") could have rendered the game as beyond repair.

Will it be fixed? A resounding no. There is no incentive for them to fix. As long as the money keeps flowing, why should they?

I agree with OP. I have absolutely never been as frustrated with the game as I have been lately. I spend more time re-logging into the game from constant disconnects than I do playing. For example, I was in Western Skyrim doing the quest for Rigurt and when it came time to help him cook the meat (which should only take about 20 seconds) I took me almost 10 minutes of re-logging from the non-stop disconnects. I get disconnected so much that I can't do ANY group activities because I don't want to be 'that person' that keeps going off-line. The game makes me sad and I feel like I should just give up... :'(

On one hand, I get it. I get why that'd be frustrating as a developer because you're presenting something completely unrelated to performance and that's being derailed.

On the other, if the issues hadn't gone on for so many years - in this case actually worsened - people wouldn't be so mad. If there were frequent and detailed updates from ZOS, I think people wouldn't zerg-rush their Twitch streams demanding updates. It's poor customer service at this point. And worse yet, they actively silence people calling them out on this. It's not like we don't see it. It's not like we'll stop talking about it just because you don't want to hear it.

I think most people understand large-scale updates like performance overhauls take time and there's back and forth. But at no-time can we actually vent what's going without being censored. At no time do we get meaty details on what's happening. If anything, seems like they're communicating less.

Well ever since Greymoor landed the two new skill lines are buggy as hell, so after a month of getting it and not being able to play that feature I hope it gets fixed next week......But past updates often result in 1 or 2 patches after to fix things. Just wanna get all the new shinny things all my friends have (and are mocking me with) lol

Listen. The game is broken. While their might be a handful of people who aren’t experiencing any sort of bugs (sure), the majority of the player base that does more than housing, are suffering the same issues that PvP has suffered for years.

When the iron is hot it is time to strike. I encourage anyone with a platform that reaches out to many people and simply tell the truth about the game. Which isn’t subjective. I could make a list of all known bugs and how long they’ve been in the game.

[snip] Too bad because ESO could have been the greatest MMO ever.

ZoS does not care about its most loyal player base.
As long we continue spending money, they will continue to not care until it actually impacts their revenue. Too bad because ESO could have been the greatest MMO ever.

You're right. I can't go a single night without combat glitching out. It's insane. I've had a few friends that have asked about Greymoor and I just describe what I'm seeing. I simply point out the amount of moderation they do and bugs that go ignored year after year. That deters people pretty quick.

ZOS should have never waited this long to do a major bug fix patch for Greymoor. It’s riddled with bugs and really the only saving grace so far for this chapter is antiquities. If it wasn’t for that, I would consider this chapter a major failure in so many ways.
