Enlightenment doesn't apply to Scrying experience!?

Title. It does not apply on scrying or excavation experience. Checked my enlightenment before and after succesfully scying a green item and it didn't change. Maybe enlightenment isn't suppose to apply to it?

Enlightenment is for increased experience when you hit CP. Scrying/Excavation don't level with standard experience.

Enlightenment only applies to XP, not any skill line advancement. It won’t affect Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, Undaunted, Psijic, etc., nor crafting (which goes by “inspiration”, not XP).

Got it. Thank you for explaining.

Whether fortunate or not, scrying/excavation work much like mage's guild, thieves' guild, fighter's guild, undaunted, dark brotherhood, and psijiic. Each of those 'guilds' has a special way to level the experience, and only those methods will work with that guild. Yes, the situation can be challenging, but it does help theme a lot of abilities and what is done to earn them.

I tend to view the scrying/excavation as just another guild, and treated it the same way I do the others. (save for one important point. I doubt I will bother to level it on any characters other than the one who just maxed it, since all leads are acct wide, and thus, I don't need to worry about leveling it on anyone else.)

I thought xp bonuses helped level class and weapon skill lines as they level on xp gain. But enlightenment don't help here eiter.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I was under this impression as well, but after a discussion on the forums about a year or so ago it was determined that enlightenment only applies to your Champion Point XP gains and that your skills are only receiving the base xp and not the (x4) enlightenment bonus you see on your screen.

Example: You kill a mob worth 100 xp, but you're enlightened, so you see "400xp" pop up on the screen and have 400xp applied towards your next champion point level. However, if you have an active skill that you're trying to level, it will only have 100xp applied to it since that's the base xp of the mob.

I found out the hard way as I stockpiled a bunch of alchemy master writs to level a new character and I thought the skill lines left un-maxed when I hit level 50 would be much easier to level with the additional enlightenment bonus. Turns out that even though I was seeing the bonus xp on the UI, my skill lines were receiving the same amount of xp from before getting enlightenment.

Edit: Realized you and I were discussing the same thing. Misread your comment initially.

I'm going to level all my alts to the point where they unlock the keen eye for chests, as I'm finding that super useful on my main.

But only my main is going to max out both lines and dig up the rare leads.
