VMA weekly leaderboards

Didn’t these used to go to 100 for a weekly reward? On Xbox NA they are cutting off in the low 70s right now. I was on the board for a weekly reward but the number of spots on the list actually went down and I was cut off. Perhaps I just don’t understand how leaderboards work but this does not seem to be working as intended.

Leaderboards are smaller if certain treshold for number of total participants is crossed. And the more participants join, the smaller the leadeboard is.

Before patch, when nobody cared about vMA it was 100 every week. But now, vMA is a hot topic so expect the leaderboards be even smaller than 70.

This is nothing new. During Orsinium event, vMA leaderboard got even smaller than 50.

Why? It is ridiculous that they give less rewards when there are more participants... What is the logic behind it?

It will go down again after a bit. Being on the VMA leaderboards is easy to do, if you set up for it on your toon. Have your different gear load outs set up for a faster clear.

I used the dressing room add on for better scores. That will help you a lot for your future runs. :)

Also, all the weapons are BOP and suck, so there is that as well.

In PvP, at least I can sell my leaderboard rewards and use the ap to buy and sell gold jewelry. Then I have my gladiator proofs to get and sell some high-end consumables.

No add on on console so dressing room is not going to help in my case.

MA Bow and destro are pretty much used in all end game pve damage builds but otherwise I agree that the weapons are lackluster.

This has been refuted over and over again on the forums. It is a UI bug not showing the top 100 and I am positive it has been acknowledged by ZOS somewhere.

This - I couldn't see my score on the DK leader board last week, but I still got a reward mail.
Andymac - Magicka DK - EP Grand Overlord - Flawless Conqueror

    Yeah..... nah.

And how would that even make any sense if there are more participants to make leaderboards smaller?

One of my wardens dropped off the boards last week and would have ended up like 70 something i would guess. The boards only showed 61. He got rewards.

Can confirm. There were 70 sorc spots showing on leaderboards and I was just below that. Still received rewards.

@Dalsinthus I play on console, as well as PC.

For VMA make sure to have enough space in your inventory for your sets you wish to wear and switch for certain levels.

Know the mechanics and also how to dps clean through them, especially the bosses. Until then, follow the mechanics and learn the spawn points to speed things up. :)

Also, keep enough space to auto loot for a faster time. Myself I ignore the chests all together for the best possible run.

    You will do great :)

I’ve completed it well over 300 times so I’m good on strategy and approach. Flawlessed jt more times than I can count. I just never had a need to pay attention to the leaderboards until now.
