I am not talking about the usual performance issues...but i have adaptive settings active. Usually im at 75 view distance and 60 fps (locked) but since a couple days im suddenly all the time at 20 view distance and less than 30 fps...(same content)

Nothing changed on my end...

Has anyone similar issues suddenly?

Are you using any addons? I had to disable a UI addons to stop my fps drop. Now I run at a steady 70-100fps. If not check updates for your gpu and cpu.

Maybe you have the same issue we have.

In my end, I had a ...stable fps drop after Greymoor of about 15 frames. No matter what changes I do in settings, it won't go back to where it was before.

Did you check my link. Maybe we all have the same problem.

Yesterday in Cyro it dropped to zero. I was in a keep, alone. It took me about 4 minutes to move 3 steps. It was agonising. The game, for a change, wouldn't crash. I had to ctrl+alt+del to get out of there.

are there addons that are known to cause fps drops? i try using minimal addons, only

I too have experienced this over the past 3-4 days. Nothing on my system has changed. No new addons, no video driver updates or setting changes.

Suddenly in the same area I always do my daily crafting writs, instead of ~30% graphics card utilization it has jumped to pegged at 98% on a gtx 1080 which is absolutely not right for this game. CPU utilization on a 5ghz i7 is still about the same, around 30-40% with occasional jumps/dips.

I assumed it was possibly some covert machine learning thing they were experimenting with to try and create pre-render profiles for eventual performance increases sort of like NVIDIA's AI-based AA technology, but that is sort of a conspiracy theory. :p

Still, I have no explanation why nothing has changed other than the game being patched and suddenly my video card (and energy bill) use has jumped over 300%.

Hmm I use the same ones other then adaptive. Might be that? If not maybe check your cpu usage while eso is running. See if its pulling more then usual same with gpu.

Huh, that's odd. I just upgraded from an old and to ryzen 5 cou and I have seen a massive boost. My gpu is older amd 450 but I run msi afterburner to help keep the temp down. I notice I'll get bad fps in any mmo when my GPU hits 170f so msi controls my fans keeping it at around 130.
