Beyond Western Skyrim - Out of Bounds

This is a journey around inaccessible areas of Western Skyrim.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQD4uOXLgNY

Exploring all the hidden areas of Western Skyrim that are supposed to be off-limits for players.

What you can see beyond the boundaries are mostly deserted areas with nothing but ground textures and some basic landscape formations. Occasionally there are some interesting backend sketches to be found of either staging areas for the zone or possible drafts for future zones. In this case there were signs of a Harrowstorm, a place called “Frozen Graves” and an unfamiliar point-of-interest icon which MIGHT become part of the Q4 / 2020 update of ESO.

Zenimax Online Studios and the developers of The Elder Scrolls Online make it increasingly difficult with every update to leave the playable areas on a map to roam around. Which is why I will never go into detail on how I managed to break through the boundaries. Otherwise we might lose all chances to go behind the scenes in future updates.

Post Credits Scene – Spoiler

Shout out to Dan the world builder who left his signature deep within the mountains of Western Skyrim. May he watch this video and let me know who he is.

Hm... Was hoping for confirmation of Volkihar DLC. That would be so... original!

This is really fascinating. I love it when players discover things like this. I wouldn't even begin to know how to get out of bounds like you did, but I'm not going to ask either. I agree it should be a well kept secret.

Yup it’s kinda pretty in some areas, I checked it all out a few nights ago.

    Ty for keeping the secret.

Now you know why zones take so long to load, all this extra data that is hidden away and not used :)

You'd be surprised by just how much extra stuff there in in Stormhaven lol... The whole Rivenspire area is pretty much duplicated within the same map with older model houses, and strange things at the Crypt of Hearts, etc.. Oh and Alik'r across the bay.

If they planned on including Castle Volkihar sometime, then we'd be able to see it from the north coast, but it's not there. Not even as an easter egg or landmark. Either they chose not to, forgot, or the Castle hasn't been built yet even though that last point is most likely false.
