any advice on how to get master's bow?

Hey all,

I wanted to get the master's bow. I know you have to do that veteran dragonstar arena. At this point in time, is it necessary to have 4 experienced players to complete it? Is it solo-able? I rarely see people posting in zone chats to group up for it, and there is no LFG queue for it either.

Can anyone provide some advice? I would really appreciate it

Nope, you don't need vet mode any more. Master's weapons drop from normal mode too, now, which is very easy to complete. I got my Master's Bow yesterday from normal DSA.

Most difficult thing will be to make it drop.

But if you're asking, I don't think you can do it, especially on vet...

It is now available on normal. Solo probably won't work, due to mechanics, at least not all the way through. Or it may, as per Alamakot. I did it as a duo recently. Took about one hour. We brought in two additional players for the very last arena so as to collect 4x rewards.

You want the perfected version, you'll need a competent group, especially a good tank, to do it on vet. 3x self-healing DDs do fine. You'll need someone experienced to explain the mechanics. You'll need voice chat to coordinate. You'll need to google stuff, if you have no one experienced in the group. You need high DPS. Oh, and you need a good tank. Did I mention that? A very good self-healing / self-sustaining / near full CP tank, or you will fall at the last hurdle.

I currently run this build for things like vDSA. Thrassian Stranglers make all the difference for me, as long as the group isn't prone to wiping.

It can be soloed on normal, I have done it. There are no mechanics that require more than one person.

It can absolutely be soloed on normal, but it’s much faster and easier with 2 people. Actually you can do vet with 2 people but the stranglers, the sacrifices, and the last boss can all lead to rage.

Pretty much this. Normal mode can be soloed. However, as noted about it is easier and faster with more and if the friends are not interested in the bow they can trade it to you.

I'm a relatively good player in most games, so the manual skills are there. I just have to do the research on which class and build to use.

Currently I have max lvl stam NB, Stam Sorc, Mag DK, StamDen. I've respecd my NB to mag a few times tho.

Out of your lineup, I'd go with the stamsorc. Dual-wield / bow. Maybe a 2H -> Brawler / bow build is also an option. Hurricane, Crit Surge and Arrow Barrage are hard to beat in terms of healing through solo content, but be sure to slot Resolving Vigor as well. Maybe wear Briarheart. Monster set could be Troll King (but was nerfed), Earthgore, Velidreth, Engine Guardian...

Your StamSorc would probably be easiest. Basically use a maelstrom build.

Your StamSorc would probably be easiest. Basically use a maelstrom build.

If you are going solo, make sure you dont go into the circles on the undead arena. It will reset that fight.

Perfected gives +103 damage. Not worth the effort imho.

I hate farming DSA. You will die bored, because it's minimum 40-minutes nightmare where half the time you wait for mobs to spawn. There really should be medium difficulty, because vet is obviously very hard for many players, and normal is easy even for potato players. I wroted this in another topics and I will write it many times - we really need some middle ground between easy piece of cake nad hard as hell difficulties. Something maybe challenging for normal players, but not frustrating and not needing super team of perfect players?

The main issue I wouldn't mind seeing fixed are the interminable wait times between rounds. I did it as a duo. Thrassian Stranglers made short work of it.
