Coming from someone who mains a stamcro-heck yeah they carry me. The damage mitigation and healing done with added penetration and defile (when blast-bones do land) creates the perfect class to pvp with. In classes where I try so hard to spec for survivability, with necro it comes naturally. For sure necro is a class that carries and deserves a bit of toning down or at least buffing other classes that are for sure subpar.
For a reference to what skills/passives make necromancer a carry class (PVP wise)
Skills:
- blighted blast bones: Major defile for 4 secs (area effect), if used properly can lead to a 100% uptime of Major defile. Of course this is all on the assumption that blast bones does hit the target (usually buggy for me in prime time pvp).
- Spirit Guardian: 10% of the damage you take is transferred to your spirit while also providing a hot (heal over time)
Passives:
- Curative curse: 8% healing done while negative effect is in place
- Disdain harm: reduce damage from damage over time by 15%, this allows players to spec more cp into ironclad, Hardy, Spellshield...
- Near-death Experience: increases critical healing chance by 20% based on severity of targets wounds
And lastly the amount of healing done, damage done, and mitigation bonuses that come from slotting a skill.
These are just a select few of the skills that make Necros who they are currently.

Maybe major defile needs adjusting, but I would advise playing one and seeing how well it "carries" you.
My most powerful class 1 v 1 is magdk this patch. With the malacath ring, elf bane and grothdaar. Healing is still great cos you get the draconic passive and heavy armor passive.
I really like class balance at the moment, if performance was better it would be a great patch.

If you ever see "Grave Robber 45k" damage in your death recap, then u have met the magicka version. If you see a necro facetanking a zerg and killing them 1 by 1 without even reaching below 50% hp thats the stamina one. If he tbags too u will know he is a bad player thinking he actually have skill, If he doesnt he is probably not but just tired of the game being shaped to make solo players weaker and zerglings stronger 😂
Since you've apparently died to these builds so many times maybe it's time to think [snip]
Nah i just stopped going to cyrodiil because you are right, im a bad player that cant kill ballgroups or survive necros spamming 45k graverobbers 🤷♂️ But you play necro though, considering you feel hit by my post, so of course you wouldnt struggle with these things..... As you already know 😊😊😊
Besides, he says he is a returning player, he deserves the truth before it hits him in the face by suprise, when you come to the forums you come also come for knowledge, not being fed with BS from ppl defending exploit and in your case a bike with training wheels 😊
So necro went from being the butt of all jokes and such a terrible class to a carry class? Once again, good joke. I’ve had a magcro since they came out when everyone hated on them and never made a harmony build. Harmony builds as strong as they are, are situational as hell. Sounds like a lot of complaining from someone who just gets owned by necros. My magcro has always been decent but my magden and stamden both always outperformed my magcro in PVP. Necro is just my favorite class aesthetically so I play it the most, not because it “carries”.

Ive never said they were a joke ever. When i complain about something its for a good reason, last time i complained about something it was the old vampire drain 😊
I have both necros and wardens so when im complaining about something its also after ive tried them out myself against others.
Lets take necro for example, show me any other class with 30% Damage reduction and full uptime on unavoidable major defile from blastbones that hits almost as hard as a dawnbreaker?
U are either defending it because u play it yourself, or you are a pve player that dont know anything about pvp. Either way, since most ppl have such a hard time understanding why they are so OP, im going to rework my old one and videotape it and show you. 😊
And fyi, last time i wanted to prove someone a class was too OP, it was Stamden 1 month after morrowind came out, 1vs18 and i won with less then a months training and getting to know the class, not because im ultra skilled (In fact, half the forums says i have l2p issues) but because when i say something is too OP its because it is😊

I’ve already stated I main Magcro.😊 I haven’t leveled my stamcro and I’m about 70/30 PVP to PVE good try though. I also really don’t care to see your video 😊 I can use emojis too lol. That's a moot point. Keep in mind that people learn over time. Just because on day x something is seen as one thing, doesn't mean by day y people haven't discovered ways to make it another. Truth is that in both PvE and PvP, necro has one of the best multi-role tool kits, much of that is situational at first glance, but given the dynamic nature of combat, that doesn't mean you can't work to something that makes the best use of all those things. I don't agree that just spinning up a necro makes the player OP, that would be silly, it is an advanced class in many respects in comparison to others, but with a little time and effort (less than other classes) because of the baked-in survivability, built-in passive execute, multi-dimensioned heals, solid debuffs, you have much more opportunity to spec into areas other classes need to be more conservative about Does that mean people are carried by the class, or that's it is broken OP? I'm on the fence, but it's obvious that there are many areas it excels, not just the one or 2 niches you could argue any other class may be more performant in.

And this is exactly what people make it seem like. The way they call it a carry class as if anyone can just spin one up and go dominate PVP. That’s not true. PVE is less of a learning curve and way more of necro AOE skills are viable. I agree that the passives give you freedom to spec into other areas other classes can’t. The built in mitigation is great. Necro also has some of the best if not THE best passives in the game.
My whole point though is what you touched on calling it an advanced class that even if you make an elite build necro roto has always been one of the hardest. It also is the slowest class in the game probably. Spammable slow and main burst skill is delayed. No expedition. That makes necro very timing based. It takes time to get to a competitive level with the class if you’re not building a cheese harmony build. A lot of people think harmony builds are only viable magcro PVP solo builds and that’s false, it just takes a little more effort to be good outside of that. Stamcro has always been top tier but no more than a warden or Templar imo. So they must be carry classes too.

I get your point, and I agree. I'm just saying that we can't ignore the benefits the class provides that do excel above the rest. Player skill will always outweigh that, regardless of preferred class, but damn, necro does offer a pretty good base to build on. We can't deny that.
