What is fastest way out of IC?

Run back to base. Then go to wgt... then exit instance. Takes too long.

When I want to stop, I just want out!

If I shut down, where will I be when I log in again?

If you log out and log back in your character will likely be where it was unless the instance is full when you log back in. That is not likely to happen in IC unless there is an IC related event.

That is as long as it follows the same rules as Cyrodiil. I have never logged out of a character in an IC area.

You can see if you can load into a Cyrodiil campaign. I do not know if that still works. Otherwise, just go back to your base and exit normally.

If you are in Cyrodiil and want to leave quickly, type L for Alliance War, select one of the Imperial City campaigns, and queue for it. When the prompt appears, accept and you'll find yourself in your alliance's base in the Imperial City Sewers. Take the exit and you should end up wherever you were before you'd queued for Cyrodiil.

If you are in the Imperial City and want to leave quickly, type L for Alliance War, select one of the Cyrodiil campaigns, and queue for it. When the prompt appears, accept and you'll find yourself at one of your alliance's two bases in Cyrodiil. Take the wayshrine to wherever you want to go.

Do this also after killing that guy with 100k tel var before he comes back and look for you. Then run back to where you were and pretend you still have it. I head that people love when others do that in IC.

Depending on your platform and alliance I would be more than happy to provide you with a speedy exit.

Use a Sigil of Imperial Retreat, then walk out the door marked exit.

Not from PvP zones, no you can't.

As others have already said, the best option (if you don't mind an extra loadscreen) is to queue for a non-poplocked Cyrodiil campaign. From there it's just a short hop to the wayshrine.

    Port to Cyrodiil

Yep, join a non-full campaign, get in, use wayshrine at arrival point to port out. Takes about a minute plus whatever time the loading screens are.

would be really nice to get some fast "back to pve zones" options for IC and Cyrodiil

    Options:
    1. Queue up for Cyrodiil. Or if in Cyrodiil, queue up for Imperial City. Use the exit in your home base.
    2. Travel back to your home base quickly from the nearest keep or using a Keep Recall Stone in Cyrodiil, or by using a pre-bought Sigil of Imperial Retreat in Imperial City. Use the exit from your home base.
    3. Die. Rez up at your home base or a safe location from which you can travel back to your base.

Where is the exit in the base? All the exits seem to lead to the city. I've been going to wgt because I can't find it.

In your Alliance base in the "central" room there is the entrance to the sewers (AD - Irrigation Tunnels, DC - Lambent Passage, EP - Harena Hypogeum) directly opposite this is the exit

    No.
PvP zones such as the IC and Cyrodiil can only be exited by one of the following methods:
    • queueing for Cyrodiil (from IC) or vice versa,
    • in IC, using the exit door in your faction's alliance base in the sewers,
    • in Cyro, using a wayshrine at your alliance base.

Porting to other players/friends/guildies, or their houses, or even your own house, is not allowed anywhere in those PvP zones.

Yep, it's the door that used to lead from the shore of Lake Rumare into the sewers, back before the Imperial City was split from Cyrodiil and got its own server. Back then, if you immediately turned around and left through that same door, it used to take you to your alliance's home base in Cyrodiil rather than back out to Lake Rumare.

Now that Cyrodiil and the Imperial City have no connections to each other, that exit takes you back to wherever you were in the main zones of Tamriel before you queued for a campaign in the Alliance War.
