vAS still only drops perfected on +2?

Why?
They have effectively nerfed the hell out of all the perfected asylum weapons, making them the same as normal + a small stat bonus.

to quote the patch notes:

Arena Weapons have all been adjusted to follow the same system as trial gear with the Perfected system. Normal arenas will drop the normal version of the sets, while Veteran will drop the Perfected version of these weapons.

Except asylum still requires the hard mode? Why?

Before the hard core crowd get all snarky, I've for my +2 clear and weapons.

so maybe they nerfed it but i dont see any reason to change the drop requirments for it

There's literally no reason to run the trial anymore, aside from getting people their silvers.

They can already put those sets as overland quest rewards, changes nothing. Plain garbage.

Yeah they have to add them to the veteran drop table as they're no longer worth the effort and also all other trials only require veteran for perfected weapons. HM should just give jewelry like other trials.

Jewelry of what? That trial doesn't have trial sets. It drops overland sets and you can get jewelry of those already despite the lack of dark anchors.

Yep. Not worth doing +2 except for skin, and possible polymorph drop. Perfected weapons aren’t worth it.

You’re not wrong, this does seem inconsistent with the drops in other trials now. However, personally I like that the HM provides an incentive. It was vAS specifically that made me work on getting better at this game and finding a good group, specifically because I wanted the Perfected Inferno Staff (back when it was really good, pre-Summerset). If everything is as easy to obtain as vAS+0 I think a lot of that incentive goes away and we’ll see the average skill level of players decrease. People generally learn the minimum needed to achieve their goals.

Also please change the Inferno Staff back to every 2nd cast.

Probably should be +1 clear = random chance of perfected if anything. Not for HM for drops. Might as well require HM dungeons for Monster sets.
