Give us a Passive that makes Melee HAs restore Magicka instead of Stamina.

That and a Gap Closer in the Vampire Skill line(just replace Blood Frenzy with a Gap Closer) are about all I want for whichever of my characters I decide to not cure of Vampirism (with my 5m Magicka Spammable).

Ideally, I'd want a Magicka Melee skill line, like 1H/Spell (like EVERY ADVERTISEMENT WITH THE ELVEN HERO IN IT) or a Melee Staff line, but I've given up hope of that ever happening.

Being able to have Melee Weapon HAs restore Magicka instead of Stamina would be a decent compromise, imo.

Magicka Melee with a Destro Staff is kinda awkward, imo.

Put the Passive in like...the Mages Guild or Undaunted skill line, or something. I'd say put it in the Vamp skill line, but then that would force everyone who wants a Magicka Melee build to be a Vampire.

Note: I don't mean to make Melee Weapons do Magic damage or scale with Magic stats, just restoring Magicka with Heavy Attacks.

There is already a passive for that, @JMadFour ... it's called Tenacity in the Lover Constellation of your Champion Points.

Tenacity does not do what I am asking. it just makes Melee Weapon HAs restore more Stamina, and Staves restore more Magicka.

I am asking for a Passive that makes Melee Weapon HAs restore MAGICKA *instead* of Stamina. As in, if you put a skill point into this passive, then 1H/2H/Bow/1H and Shield Heavy Attacks would not restore Stamina at all. They would restore Magicka.

If you need to restore magicka use Balance from mages guild skill line.

There used to be Arch-mage, but everyone saw what ZOS did to that set.

You can use Senchal Defender, which is actually superior in every way to Arch-mage and didn't get nerfed, if you don't mind using a 5-piece bonus and keeping track of stacks (not too hard outside of PvP and nearly every skill generates a stack anyway).

That would actually be a nice tank QoL solution.

And making it a passive would let us keep the tanky sets instead of sacrificing utility. (current best practice is recovery mundus and potion chugging) Hell, it would allow for more offensive oriented tanks, which is never a bad thing imo.

Sorry, only stam tanks are allowed offense. Magicka tanks would totally be unbalanced if they could do damage like stam, right?

I mean with all their skills costing more than stam, worse mag regen options, and negate existing on even trash mobs, magicka tanks doing damage is just too scary. Yes, it's frightening.

It might just keep me awake at night.

I still hope that -someday- they might add a bunch of new weapons, just to give -everyone- in ESO something new to sink their teeth into!
But... I would say that, would I not, considering the things I post:

There's an NPC in Vvardenfell who did use a staff in straight melee during a little scene... but I guess they didn't pursue that :(

There is also Primate Artorius in the Dark Brotherhood storyline as well. He was Magicka Melee, with a staff.
