Stop sharing quest objectives with players not in your group.

Over the many years, the same pattern has happened over and over again... Im doing a quest with some friend of mine or by myself, then a teamroller type person runs by and soon the quest updates, dialogue is missed and you have no friggin clue what happened there and why and there is no way to get it happen again unless you do the whole damned quest again.

I Dont mind getting help in a fight from other players though even while i rarely need it and i always help other players in quest boss fights if they need it, but not participating in that fight or quests that simply trigger because somebody runs past a certain point on the quest location... Those i really hate.

Many players dont seem to mind at all missing the conversations.. They just slow them down, right? Has to be level cap ASAP.. Yeah.. Some ways are needed to make these not happen again..

Its not even that hard a problem to solve... I think most of the places where this sort of mishap happens, are quest location instanced inside a certain location and we know outside locations without borders can also be instanced/phased for just some players. Simply make it so, that you either go there alone or with people in your group. Dont share these things with just random people. Some of us dont want to miss a part of the story because there is some random player doing the same thing. Its an MMO.. Right? That means we can ask help from other players and do stuff we struggle with in a group, so there should be no problem in making these a litle more restricted how players are let in to save the whole story for those who want to hear it or see it or both... MMO does not mean you need to miss parts of the stories even though some game designers seem harfd pressed to do so.

Could you give a specific example where this was an issue?

The developers usually try to either instance certain areas of quests or program them in a way to minimize issues like this. If you provide specific examples the team will better be able to make the needed changes.

A lot of delves seem to have an issue where a player killing the boss near you is sufficient to trigger the next quest stage. Which is kind of an issue when you come running in as someone is bursting down the boss and there's no real chance to join in the fight, much less fight the boss on your own terms.

I usually wait for respawn and fight the boss on my own, but its not as satisfying.
