For the record, you can still visit Eastern Blackreach. At least I could on the PTS.

Indeed. And you also can go back to valley of blades using that horse front of Davon's watch, but... why would you ?
At least Eyevea and Earth Forge have unique crafting stations, but the other places have... nothing except people you can talk to.

You still can, on Live.
You can get there from both sides; from further west in Blackreach, and through the entry point in the Greymoor prologue.
And something I found out this morning... if you travel through Blackreach from Western Skyrim to the Eastern Blackreach entry point in the prologue, and enter into Eastmarch, you can't go back through that entry if you haven't yet started the Greymoor prologue on that character.
Not a Nirn-shattering discovery, since it makes sense; just a point of interest.
I also remember exiting Blackreach (I can't remember if it was Eastern Blackreach though) and ending up on I think an Eastmarch cliffside? My memory's fuzzy with that one since I totally was excited that I was back in Blackreach in general. Since we're able to, that means I can play with loot tables! Thanks!

Yup. There are two exits from Blackreach into Eastern Skyrim.
One is back through the entry point from the Greymoor prologue (trying not to spoil that for people who don't [and maybe don't want to] know exactly where that is until they find it on their own), and the other puts you up on that cliffside you remember.
I don't think it's possible to get down from there, into Eastern Skyrim, unless you jump and most likely die from fall damage, or get up there from the Eastern Skyrim side (I tried this morning), but you can go back into Blackreach from there.
