Because NO furnishing existed before then. It was an entirely brand new feature. Weapons were the reward for beating vet and still are the reward for beating vet but anyone that previously beat vet had their existing vet rewards turned into rewards for completing normal.

Splitting hairs, in my opinion. People are being asked to run the same content they ran many times in the past to get a new reward. I really don't get how it's different just because it's a weapon. I care more about decorations than my DPS, personally. So if they upgrade weapons I want Undaunted trophies for every single dungeon I beat previously and can't be bothered to enter again.

I've just finished with the mythic grind today, don't even know if I can bring myself to get the *new* arena weapons, most of the bonuses are so tiny, I'm not sure their worth the hassle, expect maybe masters and vma 2 handers.
Inferno doesn't even higher your damage in an optimised group.
Am I the Only one Enjoying the VMA runs trying to get Flawless Conqueror?

Ah yes. Optimism, the fool proof method to thwart bad RNG.
