Blocking chest on purpose with pets

I had to sneak and go into first person view and stand right on chest to loot it. This warden [snip] was trolling everyone with his bear for like 15min -_- useless troll. Can you add an option to hide other's pet or make them not block things ? Thank you.

Not sure how you could "bear" it.

My advice is to take the name out of the picture and the post. You'll get the post edited by a mod if you don't as it's rather 'polar'izing to name and shame.

Mod took care of it. I may not have even been intentional. People with pets are often oblivious around bankers and such.

It took multiple people 15 minutes before anyone tried adjusting their view?

I do agree though, we should be able to hide other players’ pets. Especially in the current Daedroth trials meta, poor tanks.

While I can sympathize with your aggravation over having something be blocked by another player's pet-- especially if they're just standing there for 15 minutes-- I'm wondering whether you tried using /tell or /say to (politely) ask them to either move a bit so their pet moves out of the way, or dismiss their pet since it isn't needed at that time?

Mind you, I've never whispered to anyone when I was in a similar situation, and there's no telling whether the other player will respond in a hateful manner-- which is why I always hesitate to speak up in a situation like that-- or perhaps not respond at all due to being AFK or something, so I'm not being critical; just wondering.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

What is the possibility of having pets being incorporeal for players? If we could simply click thru the flappy bird or bear to the table/chest whatever, a large part of the pain would disappear.

And on the daedroth point, whoever decided it needs to pop up right in front of the mobs/boss has earned a very nice place in hell.

I'd rather ZOS get rid of people like that from the game. They are obviously not here to play the game but to grief people if they have 15 minutes to spare standing around just to do that.
They will probably put up some nonsense defense like "sorry I was AFK", so it should be treated like speeding. Doesn't matter why, if you were speeding you are in the wrong and it's up to the law to decide mitigating circumstance and reduce punishment, not the driver.

The default standard of behavior should be civility and consideration for others. Considering that there more and more forum posts about deliberate griefing such as mudballing people for hours or finding ways to get poison status out of a trial and into overland -- the tolerance for griefing and how complaints are handled should be reconsidered.

There is always someone turning in writs and checking all their goodies while standing in front of the last box with all their pets in tow. Go around the corner and open your stuff please.

Also 4 players and 12 pets around an alchemy table just looks absurd too. Pets really need to auto toggle in and out of towns.

Players are transparent to other players while attempting to interact with banker, board tables and so on. Why their combat pets are not?
We are asking #ZOS for this hundreds of times here at the Forums

it is not just gamers - people are often just not thoughtful enough and don't care what is going on around them - standing in a gateway checking their phones and blocking others with it. happens quite often enough in real life. They basically behave in ESO in just the same mindless way without even realizing that they are a burden to others. Therefore I really doubt that all those are trolling, they are just not realizing it and don't care.

I'm not sure why they can't remove bear hitbox, or why it even has it in the first place. It doesn't make any sense that a bear can block npcs/door/containers, because player characters can't.
And yeah it's super annoying when wardens block writ containers, and I'm convinced that some of them do it on purpose. I've also gotten a handful of rude replies from them so "just ask them to move the bear away" doesn't always work.

I've tried sending a polite tell, and uniformly received profane negative replies. This is the 21st century, and probably 95% of people are entirely absent any redeeming human virtues. I've stopped giving people the opportunity to be abusive by attempting communication.

It's pointless in a world devoid of politeness or shame.

These pets are combat pets, right? So why don`t they come out in combat only? I have a warden and I keep the bear put away until combat. It is aggravating whether intentional or unintentional to deal with the current problem. Players can access through other players and fight through other players but you cannot through the pets, Hmmm.

We should not be going on multiple years with this problem, especially when it didn't use to be one. ZoS needs to address the issue of combat pets already.
