Face it, levels are the -least- of character progression.

How-ever... at this point the official word from ZOS is still "we don't intend to ever do class change" with a side dish of "...its not technically feasible" (thich is ZOS-speak for "We expect it to take more effort then we reckon to stand a profit from...")

True.
And its a given that they will follow those considerations, they have to, after all the ones in charge at ZOS are responsible to the shareholders just like their employees are to them.

Just saying, all our characters are is piles of data. All data can be changed. So, character change IS technically feasible... it just might take more paid programmer effort to code then they can expect to make back from selling classchange tokens.

And that's it for this idea.

Especially since they -just- started selling mirrorings from main for skyshards and guilds... classchange would pretty much cripple those profits, so I doubt they would revisit the idea until the last skyshard mirroring has been sold...

I'm just tired of trying to get achievements on my least favorite class to play, stamblade. I've thought about just changing him to a magblade, but it would be nice if I could change classes so my main could stay my main.

Actually what they said back then was "... still thinking about alliance change, no intention of making class change, ever..."
Obviosuly they finished collecting their thoughts about alliance change (tho as some who followed my thoughts on the matter can guess, in a way that severely disappointed me), but... well, utnil and unless they change their mind about class change... its not gonna happen.

Still. Who knows? Someday they might change their mind about it, yes?

Actually, January 2019 Rich famously said they had no interest in offering alliance change during a stream. That is literally saying they were not even slightly considering it.

In my opinion thats fine. You always have a situation and you make a statement on the information you have. If this changes over time its good to know that they revisit their decisions. There is nothing worse than ppl setting things in stone with no intend to ever revisit ideas when things change.

They won't do it precisely because they are too obsessed with profit and schemes to get tens and twenties out of players. Remember, which is more profitable? Selling one twenty dollar transaction for a class change token? Or having dozens of twenty dollar transactions from someone who isn't wise enough to know better? Because that's the situation we have now, with the abomination that is skill points and skill lines in the cash shop. It makes them way, way more money than a class change token would. A class change token would cause them to loose money.

They'll add them eventually. We heard similar arguments in regards to alliance change tokens. Why sell those when they can buy a character slot and all the fixings to play the faction they wish? But here they are!

The precedent had been set, and ZOS going back on their word informs us (I don't see an issue with the tokens but you can't take them on their word even if they say they aren't doing it) it's not a matter of "if" but when.

But time will tell

Class change tokens would be harder and not worth the cost-risk, which is understandable. I'm just surprised they haven't jumped on the level 50 class boost like WoW and FF14.

if your Warden character is not good then look into ways you can improve them.
Overland & Early Dungeons should have gear available you can obtain in order to improve them.

Look what it is about... its all about class change being "off the table", NOT alliance change. Its even there in the friggin title! Exactly like I keep saying!

I have no issue with Zos changing their mind. However, it is one thing to change one's mind but in the course of one year going from not interested in it to offer it is a pretty fast change. Zos has changed their mind more than once and other times not followed through with big announcements.

My guess is the business side are the people who changed their mind.

You are correct that Zos said they were not going to do a class change. I am not sure why you keep arguing that point as I have not said otherwise. They spoke to both on that not so a fateful day.

I would pull the video but I cannot see Bethesda's Twitch back that far. I found someone had a copy of the stream but it ended before the Q/A. With that, I see no point in continuing this tangent. Cheers.
