It seems to only happens with orcs characters as far as I'm concerned and is a quite recent thing. Orcs are ugly enough.

Nope seen it happen to Bretons too. There was a thread on reddit earlier.

Thanks you two! We've been seeing some recent reports of this since Update 26 went live. Dev is investigating. In the meantime, are your characters who this has happened to vampires?

Got the same issue after applying the new Seaborn Silver skin last thursday. Just a regular dunmer dk, not a vampire or werewolf.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom I have seen this on many of my characters, who are not using any skins or have WW/Vamp. It is hard to say it is tied to any particular item, because some characters who I have seen this bug happen on have not had anything changed item wise while playing.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom No, the character on the screenshot has an other skin. But as stated above some of my characters do not even have a skin applied.

If it's about the fangs or weird discoloration of the character image, that's just standard for an orc.

It's about the misaligned jaw issue, and yes there have been other reports about it. The team has an ongoing investigation on this one. Additional details help - we're still looking to pinpoint the cause.

Oh, also there is another visual bug is present in the above picture. For some reason the chest piece for the Fanged Lair Jerkin and Jack(found through the dungeon or crownstore) make your shoulders pop out of your shoulder pieces. Where the Fanged worm(found VERY VERY VERY rarely in daily bg boxes) motif version does not.

Had this happen with a newly made character as soon as I zoned into western skyrim after skipping the tutorial.

No skins, no costumes, no personalities, hadn't been CC'd or anything like that.

I had it a few days ago on my Altmer Templar. No skins or vampirism (just cured him day 2 of update 26), but he is wearing a hair collectible and outfit.

Had this happen to one of my characters two days ago. Was in a dungeon when I noticed it.
Breton, sorc, vampire if it helps.
Wearing hair from crown store and armour with motifs applied.

I mean maybe there's some lingering issue about jaw placement, like when Appearance change remembers slider positions even though the change was cancelled.

This is still occuring. My bosmer nightblade character gets this regularly, and it seems that the effect is sometimes getting more and more visible when the time passes – starting as small dislocation and growing bigger and bigger. She's wearing costume (dyed thief's leathers), custom hair (the tousled bard), the original adornment (three piercings in the lower lip), no skins, no vampirism or WW. Wearing mostly Relequen + Briarheart or Night Mother's Embrace + Briarheart, using DW and bow.

Sometimes I feel like this could be related to dying, loading screens within an instance or maybe some synergies or ultimates, since I've seen it mostly happening in dungeons and trials so far.

In addition to jaw dislocation issue I've also seen during the last couple of days it happening that the characters head "gets stuck" in looking at left (char's own perspective). This also occured twice after dying. This effect went away after hitting character screen on and off couple of times. Picture attached.
