No Vampire Cutscene

I turned another player a day ago and was able to enjoy the cool new cutscene, but today when being turned by another player it failed to activate. My character was sort of pulled into the air then frozen, and his character simply froze up for about a minute.
I was able to continue with the quest as normal after it ended.
