GOLD DIG SITES DID YOU TEST THEM?

as title says, did you actually test the gold dig sites on the pts? they are so bugged its unreal, test is even in the name PTS. even fully uncovered they dont count as done, there is not enough time and they need some more health, it says 2 but i hit it once and its broken/failed. i would add ascreenshot but no idea how to on this forum. it wants an URL, why? just have an upload like everywhere else.

are they going to get fixed? been trying this one for an hour, and uncovered it countless times and it is still failing.

They're very much misaligned at the moment. Dig for the sparkles, not the box itself. Hopefully they fix it soon, can be very frustrating.

This issue was mentioned several times on the PTS forums, and like a lot of things ZOS ignored those reports.

Just listen to Linkin Park's In The End while you dig gold leads... seems to fit perfectly with what you're doing.

I've only not been able to excavate one. Got it on the next try.

You really have to think through your moves. If it was exactly where you think it is, then it would be too easy.

Just ignore the picture and dig for green. I finally made it to dig two golden.

i dont get it. have u seen the picture i put above? there is nothing between box and another stone/earth, yet when i hit to hard there is no any problem with destroying it, so, is that box in that place where green squar shows or not?

Yeah, I got the Dwarven wolf head on the second try. It had part of the box in a yellow square, so I shifted one square on my digging and got it.

Imagine thinking a bug that wasn't even intended that makes things harder is fun.

Bet you're the type of person to be glad to do extra work for no pay after work too? Or are you one of those 'ZOS does nothing wrong everything is fine' sort of people?

I have problems with these sites as well.

But let me share my experience. I have found that it is very helpful to use the deep shovel (the small one), when you clear the hard dirt with your brush and you get to a layer of gravel. If you use the deep shovel on the gravel you will not damage the chest. It will remove exactly all the layers without touching the loot. The large shovel, the one that cleares 9 squares is less useful in gold digs because you get very uneven terrain. I struggled a lot with my 1st gold dig, I think I had like 6 retries, but then I started to see what works for me and started using this strategy. I hope it helps you, because in my case it is much easier now.

edit: my current excavation level is 7, with the available perks taken (you get a better shovel at higher levels)
