What is minimum level to scry and excavate mythic items?

I reached level 10 in Scrying and Excavation both on the PTS and "live" servers. I thought that one needed level 10 in Scrying and 5/5 in "Antiquarian Insight" ability to scry and excavate mythic items. However, I did not even try before level 10, since the "Antiquarian Insight" description explained the 4/5 is for "Master difficulty" and 5/5 is for "Ultimate difficulty." Some players have reported that they have done mythic items at only level 7. Did I misunderstand the requirements for mythic items? Are these players simply wrong? Or is there a bug?

Thanks. I have been thinking all gold items were "Master" level and all orange items were "Ultimate" level. How can I tell if an item is Ultimate level (requiring level 10) if not by the orange color?

You can only see the difficulty for items in your current zone and only if you already have the lead.



Also important to note: Orange doesn't exist for antiquities, both master and ultimate are yellow. Only the completed mythic items are orange.

And I just checked on the PTS, level 7 is indeed enough for all of them.

Some mythic items only require level 7 (that speed ring for example), for others you need level 10.

Edit: Or maybe level 7 is enough for all of them?

That’s wonderful news! My main reason for doing Antiquities is the Ring of the Wild Hunt, but I’ve actually been enjoying the process (and the gold from selling the relics I’ve found). I’m devoting more time to it now so I can start going after the ring as soon as possible, but it will be nice after I get the ring to still have levels in the skill line to strive for 🙂

Anyone knows what price are ultimate ones sold on the vendors? (not guildstores, i know they are bound)

I know purple ones are 5k and overall the grind to lvl 10 and to get the mythics provides a few hundred thousand gold but i got an Ultimate lead which i cant scry yet cause lvl 9 still and was curious how much they sell for once i do it

I managed to get all of my Mythic items before even hitting level 10.

I'm confused as to what an 'Ultimate' even is. Either it is bugged and Mystics are Ultimate, and for some reason I was able to scry them all. Or Ultimate is something that isn't even in the game yet. OR I'm completely missing something.

Ultimate is the mythic (orange) rarity. Might be bugged? Not sure.

Ultimate are the "gold" ones, Mythic items are their "own" rarity which is that orange color.

Ultimate ones are available to scry at lvl 10

You can see an ultimate item in the screenshot I posted above. It's only used for 9 or 10 of the furnishings and a treasure you can sell for 100k to a vendor.
Mythic item components are all master difficulty.

Both master and ultimate are the same color which is probably where a lot of the confusion comes from.
