ZOS has gotten better with character animation & cinematography in the game intro sequences

Greymoor Intro
Yes it pulls from the Skyrim Intro
It reminds me of scenes from Skyrim where the player camera was used like when confronting Mercer Frey & Karliah
Or when we met Miraak
Point being I wonder if ZOS would consider to use this camera trick in the Main story quests for key moments in the plot - instead of just the introduction.

Example: Like when we unleash the dragons for the first time

I wish we had cutscenes where we can see our characters doing stuff like FFXIV does and WoW...tries to do but their /talk animations are horrifying.

We can make pretty unique looking characters and animations are pretty good in this game as far as emotes go.
PC NA. Various alts, trying to find a main, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Make them something we have to opt into and I wouldn't mind. Other priorities first though.

That in-game intro cinematic FELT like TES:V again. But actual game play feels so much more detached than that. I really these chapters are ZOS's stepping stones into a much nicer ESO 2.

Either that, or I'll just keep waiting a couple more years until I have a beefy PC and TES:VI arrives to give me that proper immersive Singleplayer experience again.

Ironically, I stopped play TES: V because the world is boring and empty. ESO is way more lively.

I do think there is more ZOS could do to make the game feel like an Elder Scrolls game
we'll see how things change once ESO comes to the new consoles to catch up with PCs

That's the only way it would work for me too. And yeah, lots of other stuff needs doing first - like PVP issues, and PVE endgame ditto. No, I don't have issues myself (as neither PVP nor PVE endgame are anything I think is fun or attractive) - but it's fair obvious that many others do.

I liked the Greymoor cut-scene but I found it to be grainy and of low quality. It was like 480p upscaled or something like that

Exactly my point, the seriousness of a situation feels undercut when you can ignore it as you go around looting which actually makes the story feel less immersive.

I don't necessarily want WoW cinematics but I would like the Player Character camera/perspective to be used to highlight important moments in the story.

I think ESO could do its own unique signature cutscenes, from the players perspective, for important story moments.

Right now we have the three cinematics that come out a year (like the Elsweyr series) but the story is about your character and those videos use placeholders (Elven Hero, Nord Hero, Breton Hero) so it’s cool but not as engaging as it would be if it was from my own characters perspective who is there.

I think ZOS could utilize their improved animation and sound design to make engaging moments in the story, as well as score it.

Because I think important scenes & characters are tonally undercut when the mechanics are in such a way that a player can choose to not pay attention to a scene playing out by looting, killing, going into inventory, etc.

To be clear I am not suggesting going back to previous content to add scenes, I’m saying going forward ZOS could utilize cutscenes like we see in intros for some amazing and/or critical story moments.
Example: as a continuing player it would have been awesome if I got that Greymoor cutscene when I first go to Western Skyrim

I think presentation matters when it comes to the main story.
