Lag/slowdown for container rewards?

This is most evident when turning in daily crafting writs, but I'm seeing it also when turning in daily quests in Southern and Northern Elsweyr: There is a very noticeable hesitation in game when you click "E" to accept your reward container. Since this is so specific I'm thinking it's not lag related, but I'm not a network engineer so I can't say for sure.
