Greymoor expansion with steam

As my original game was bought through steam does this mean I have to buy the expansion through steam aswell? It is almost double the price of other retailers that are selling the expansion?

It is actually cheaper for me to buy the whole Expansion including the base game then buy the upgrade expansion through steam, would this be ok and would my character port over?

What currency are you asking about as the base expanse is $54.99 CAD or you can buy the big one which is $79.99 CAD and that includes all the expansions/chapters?

If you apply the code to your current account, even if is a complete edition, it will act as an ugprade. If you create a new account, you have to start everything over.

As for the Steam thing, I will let someone else answer that.

GBP. Expansion is £33 on steam.

But I can purchase from another retailer the whole Greymoor expansion including the base game for £26. Can I just log into my account and apply that?

Hi @dhboy123, if you choose to purchase ESO through the online store instead of through Steam, your characters and progress from Steam will carry over when playing through the ESO launcher, provided you are playing on the same server.

Thanks for the quick reply, so I can safely purchase the Greymoor full expansion including the base game, activate it through this website and it will carry over my character? Sorry for the confusion just don't want to waste money.
