Login Queue Doesn't Update

I don't like queues, nobody does, but I understand full servers and waiting my turn. Fine. But they shouldn't suck:
Queue display comes up, but never updates. I'd expect at least a countdown, even if it apparently never checks the server again for an update.
I've sat thru 4 hour Blizzard queues. They tell you your position in the queue and estimated wait time, and it updates every few minutes so you know the server isn't dead. For example:

We have updates on a few different issues related to login, loading, and Greymoor access in the thread linked below. The recent maintenance has helped resolve many issues that players were experiencing yesterday.
