Compensation for daily reward?

So Europe was down the entire day yesterday without any possibility to get the daily reward, so now I'm not going to get the 4.000 gold. ZoS probably doesnt give a ***, but would be nice to get some sort of compensation (like the 4.000 gold) when it is not possible in any way to get it because their lack of competence.

So what you are saying is that giving away 4k gold to people as a compensation for 4k gold that they would acquire anyway if not for the issues introduced by ZoS, which really won't cost ZoS anything at all, is too much to ask for? Do I understand correctly?

It wasn't. I collected my daily reward and did my writs before the server went down.

Open ToS and read what you skipped.
They are able to delete your characters and say "yo kiddo f off" without any problems, cause your characters are their property. And you accepted it. Why complaining now ?

Any compensation is a gesture of gratitute to the customers, and ZoS thinks you are not worthy.

@Daemons_Bane, I don't think that giving 4k gold to all players is such a high maintenance action that would make ZoS so occupied that they couldn't also focus on fixing issues.

@Eifleber, good for you! May I ask at what time did you managed that? Because when I finished working the servers were already under maintenance, and after that I wasn't able to log in till the end of the day.

Before I went to work, approx. 07:30 AM.

I missed all the riding lessons, though.

Ofc I undertand it's all quite annoying (after maintenance I also tried to logon for hours) but how much does it all really matter?!

I got my login rewards in the morning but writs were not possible since they resetted right at the begin of server downtime.

4K gold, that you would have got otherwise, seems like a more than reasonable request, to me.

I think it's more of a matter of being treated well. This could be a small gesture from ZoS, that would show that they care for their players.

I was a little annoyed yesterday, but it's not like I don't have any other games to play. And I wouldn't really think less about ZoS if they don't let players acquire missing daily reward. I see it just as something, that they could probably easily do and for sure would be a nice thing. Besides, they are the one who introduced these rewards in the game, so I think they should care at least a little, so that it would work equally for all players.

ToS and EULA don't trump regional consumer law.

They might have to refund a lot more than 4K gold, if people get really angry, whether they like it, or not.

4K gold is practically nothing.

It's the equivalent of 13 Crowns.

I couldnt care about the 4K gold, what I care about is that I now miss out on the crown mimic stones because Ive lost another day. I was trying my hardest to make sure I logged in every day for the rest of the month to get these and now I cant

Sadly, ZOS doesn't do small gestures. Better forget the idea that they ever may, it's just not in their policy.

The EU server didn't go off line until 9am BST, so some had time to claim the daily reward (myself included) others did not for whatever reason.

I think seeking compensation for the loss of 1 days reward is likely to fall on deaf ears. Seeking ANY compensation for the last 24 hours or so will also fall on deaf ears, as it should.

It would be a good way to make their customers happy again for hardly any effort - so I'd vote in favour of it.

A minipet voucher so you can pick one of your choice (not just one ugly one that most people won't want) or something.

It's not about 4k, it's about idea, they failed and server was down almost 24h and instead of any sort of compensation ZOS also punish players, removing daily reward. And again does not matter 4000gold or 4...

I've missed every daily reward on my Xbox EU account for 1 year, 2 months and 2 weeks! My last support ticket was about all the missed stuff on my completely stuck account, well I haven't got any actual answer so far or my account fixed.

That makes it even worse. I missed the opportunity to play the entire day yesterday in my timezone, so it is 4k PLUS the missed opportunity to even play. I missed my daily writs on all nine chars, I missed doing dungeons farming etc. That's over 100k gold.

Perhaps create this kind of thread when you've missed the opportunity to play on your account for one full year instead of one day, my losses are monumental at this point on my Xbox EU account, some 100k gold is just peanuts.

This is the question I'd like to have an answer, I don't know so I cannot answer. What happens with every character when I try to login, is after about 5 seconds the game bounces back to the character selection screen and my gamertag disappears from the down right corner of the screen. I can still login on NA server with the same Xbox account and also I can login on EU server with my new created Xbox account so the problem isn't with my connection or console at all. Some other players have this same problem, they suddenly cannot login with their original account server, but still can login on other server, I assume this has something to do with the overall amount of stuff the account, my account got completely stuck right after the Wrathstone download.

What's the point in daily rewards if they are as useless as you claim they are? Yes I agree, 4k gold is nothing. But you are also the same person who doesn't wanna fast travel and pay gold for it but rather take the burden to look through guild list to find a player to travel to instead, which is way cheaper than the money you claim is useless.
This is principle case. Again, I don't care personally about the 4k gold he is talking about, but I understand his frustration anyway.

I think it would be nice if they extended yesterday's daily claim window, at least. Some people only have a few hours of a window to play and weren't able to because they couldn't get in.

I don't want something extra or a fancy reward. Just an extension of what was already there.

People really need to expect this at this point. Patch day is never in playable conditions.

Also, if ZOS gave out compensations every time something goes wrong, they would be bankrupt in a few months. So they decide to not give compensations out ever.
