Hey all!

I fully expected bugs and problems on launch day, which has generally been my experience with mmos and especially eso. Besides all the problems, how is the expansion? I'm waiting to see how things go and how the game develops.

How do the zones look?
Quests decent so far?
New trial, worth it?
Vampire, how does it feel?
Any noticiable changes pvp (guessing way too early)
Antiquities, fun at all?

Again, I know there's a lot that went wrong, but im looking for a feel of the game play.

Feels like a DLC not an expansion. Alot of people complaining on chat the zone feels unfinished (rendering etc)..

[snip] I played for several hours and the zone looks amazing and is huge. Nobody is saying anything like what you’re saying in zone chat.

If you are happy with it that's all that matters really isn't it.

I mean, it's a bit of Skyrim that we haven't seen before. A ton of doors that really look like they should be actual doors that aren't (a trend that started in Summerset and accelerated in Elsewyr, but is super present here) and it does look a bit rushed in places, but it's also beautiful. And they really are faithful to Solitude, blatant unopenable doors aside. It feels nice to be back in a familiar place. Maybe not Morrowind levels of nostalgia, but close - and in many ways it's even MORE faithful than Morrowind was.

Haven't had time to play the quests much yet, so can't say much there. And antiquities aren't really an interest of mine right now. But from what I've seen so far... well, I don't honestly think it's worth full asking price, but it's worth it if you can find it for a bit cheaper through deal hunting. My opinion could change as I get into quests a bit more, though.

Vampire feels bad. The art and animations of the skills are simply terrible. lazy even.
Blood Scion should play clown music when you use it in pvp. tried it a few times before logging out. its that bad.
Visually puts a warning on your head to stay away, has no way of applying pressure. Main Spammable looks ridiculous. you slap people with your weapon lazily.
everything about it is ugly. not the good kind of ugly either. the unpolished reused asset kind of ugly.
little to no effort was put in for the art and animations of the skills itself.

I have not played it yet as I don't want to deal with the hassle but I am watching the twitch streams and it looks fairly cool. The new antiquities system is quite cool and has a neat little mini-game built into it.

The new "dolomens" are way tougher looking and better scaled for the groups of people that normally farm them so that was a great move on the devs part.

The world overall looks pretty good, very much a continuation of the earlier pieces of Skyrim we already had in the game.

That is all I have seen so far.

I laughed extremely hard at the opening cinematic. It felt like a big meme and parody.
Then I realised I can get there without owning it and I got sort of pulled in.
I think nostalgia hit me hard. So I do own it properly now.
Zone looks smaller than it is, but its definitely not huge (non-blackreach, but they said blackreach would be big too, but I haven't gotten there yet).

Ritual Sites (Harrowstorms I think) are cool.
    I do like Solitude.

Surprised no one has mentioned Blackreach: Greymore caverns. That place is HUGE. It's pretty much another zone. It's full of quests, delves, bosses etc. Looks fantastic (there are 3 or 4 very visuallly different sections of it). It's my fav thing about this so far.

As for the zone of Western Skyrim, I'm not very far into exploring it. I ended up going into Blackreach fairly quickly just on accident running around. I didn't even know it was in the "chapter" (I didn't do much looking into this release, wanted to go in fresh), I just found a tower with a lever and ended up down there for hours. Running around, other players all over, killing those new dolmen like things (forgot the name) that are down there as well, did some quests, delves etc. I just now went back to the main story line quest and am only about 20 mins into it. I see tons of quest givers on the compass when I just pick a direction and run, so I have faith there will be plenty to keep me entertained. I feel confident I'll get my $40 worth out of it.

IDK if this is from one of my add ons or not but each ? on the map is some kind of content, looks pretty good to me. Looking forward to getting each one.

My one complaint is the server situation. The login que has put a noticeable dent in the population. One of my fav things about returning to ESO right when a new "chapter" comes out is how densely populated and alive the zone is with other players. Skyrim is not a ghost town by any means but compared to before they had to lower the pop limit and do the login que its far less populated. Really looking forward to tomorrow when (according to their latest maintance post) the pop limit will be back to normal.

Wait its delves inside Blackreach :) I thought it was more like an huge public dungeon.
Just played a couple of hours, looks pretty good outside of the closed door politic.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
