The story was.....very lackluster (I just finished the daughter of the wolf from which i can understand is the last quest in the main line)

they build up this big bad and then hes just....'hi bye'

it felt like a rehash of the last chapter with the princess to queen plot

the idea of a long epic saga is awesome in theory but it just leaves the main experience feeling very neutered... The main 3 companions we get? Love em. Vamp boy best boy

but....It kept building and building and now we have to wait months for something that should have been solved in the chapter itself, delay its release but don't split the story up because now all Im left with is a 'now what'. Summerset and the daedric civil war was handled so well, each had its own story that stood on its own but had an arc between them all! These last two chapters make me think they just couldnt be bothered to finish it and instead decided to sell us chunk by chunk

the trailer built this vamp lord up soooo much and..... its really sad to see how it played. Chapters are meant to be massive and everything else in it feels sick..but the story, one of the main selling features, is not

These wasn't a chapter it was a DLC and these is how that needed to sell it. Its OK for dlc, but watt too weak to be called a chapter.
Hard to tell if they dev team multi-task and work for tes 6 also, but they deliver weaker and weaker content.

It's extremely lackluster for a chapter update.

Spoiler thread (obviously): I recently completed the Greymoor main storyline

First and foremost, ZOS's storylines aren't always my cup of tea. I am not a fan of everything they do. I didn't enjoy the main storyline in Elsweyr, Morrowind or Murkmire. I much preferred Oblivion over Skyrim so no rose tinted glasses here.

Howevever, I surprisingly and thoroughly enjoyed Greymoor's main storyline. I commend them on a job well done. I enjoyed the cosmetic rewards, the twists and turns, the characters, the dialogue and the architecture. I even laughed at the dialogue.

The princess, vampire and Lyris had distinct personalities and the voice acting was pretty great. There were no overtly annoying characters. The final battle was pretty cool with the giant red cloud even if it was short lived Most chapter endings are anyway if you are near a thousand CP.

I really enjoyed the labyrinth with the stone husks and the vampire castle architecture as it came into view.

I would rank this chapter storyline as below Summerset, above Morrowind and about equal to Orsinium. Elsweyr would be dead last for me.

Would I buy Greymoor again? Depends on the side quests. I doubt anyone can beat the side quests in the Morrowind chapter

I did the Greymoor main quest early in PTS and liked it much more than the total mess Norther Elsweyr main was. It has that familiar lack of awesome and some gringeworthy bits but it is up to ESO standards. Would be fine DLC but total content of chapter appears bit low for the price.

I told people this chapter wouldnt be very big because it was only a 5 gigabyte download...was shunned and they told me "noooo, zenimax has better patching system now" I rolled my eyes and carried on.
