FPS drops after patch.

Well ... Now my FPS Drops when I look into the distance to 50. Previously, it was stable 100. FPS has become worse and less stable.

As you can see, I play at very low settings.
My spec

Can't get back in passed the queue.

1080 GTX, game on an NVME M.2 drive.
Win10 and 16 gig ram.
Speedtest.net tells me I'm at 380Mbps all day.

I'll try to delete all addons tomorrow and delete the settings ini file where I made some changes. Hope this helps.

I think I found the reason. I turned on vertical sync and my 50 fps incrase to stable 60. But I'm not sure if the microfreezes have been fixed, but they have become smaller. Turned off vertical sync and my 60 fps again dropped to 50.

UPD. Friezes remained. This is felt when killing mobs and bosses.

Im using a 9900k with a 2080 super. I'm seeing the same FPS that I was before the update. I have the frame lock adjusted to allow FPS up to 144 with a 1440P Gsync monitor. All max settings

I see you are using a first gen ryzen processor. Make sure you are on the most recent bios.

You may also be getting significantly worse performance at the moment due to the massive surge in population after the dlc drop.

I went from straight capped 100 fps everywhere in the game to around 72 to 80.

I am not the only one who has problems with FPS now. But it seems that we are not many.

Are you sure that you're graphics settings didn't get reset with the new DLC?
I'm assuming 9th gen i7 is a 9700 or 9700k

You can change the fps cap by adjusting SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.00606061" That value is for 165FPS

I didn't know you could change the max framerate in the game. Haven't touched anything before. Where do you enter that code?

Can't remember exactly the number on my CPU. At work atm. It is a 6 core with hypertread to 12. I have under clocked it to 3.15 ghz because of heating issues. It runs ESO at around 70 celcius.

Fps dropped to about 20-25, I get motion sick trying to move.

I'm assuming you play on a laptop. I don't know of a 6core 12 thread 9th gen in desktop format. The 8700K is 6/12.
Its in your usersettings.txt in the ESO folder in documents. if you hit ctrl f you can seach for the string instead of scrolling.

The Helios line is quite expensive to only have a 1060

My travel computer is the asus rog strix scar 2. 8750H with 2070. But, i haven't played ESO on it in a while.

It's an older model, not the latest. FYI, it's PH317-52. Not sure about other regions, but here in the EU they resell these things sometimes with entirely different configs than officially advertised.

Bottom line is, this game on this machine should run like butter even in more demanding situations.

For me it helped to change the 3rd graphics setting (don't know in English) from FXAA to TAA, and then back. My frames are still quite low, but before that it was impossible to play properly.

I did a bit of research on the web. As far as performance goes one should consider FXAA instead of TAA.

The "work-a-round", which worked for my G-Sync monitor, is a bit odd:

and increase the framerate limit above your monitor refresh rate (145+) and enable v-sync, so it got "limited" to 144.

I had this without addons, too. So, it has nothing to do with addons. There must be hardware configurations, there it happens.
