The Tower Sentinels quest bug on Summerset

Hi! I was proceeding through The Tower Sentinels quest on Summerset when I found myself in this situation where I should be placing the books in the right order to open the hidden door covered with wardrobe but the door was already opened. There was another player inside that room, I even could go in and talk to Hannayel but didn't want to spoil this part of the quest for me even more (or to trigger an error and not to be able to proceed at all) so I put the books first, listened to Raz's "wow, there was a door!" exclamation and only then went in.
Has anybody faced this too?
Or it was just one-time bad luck.
