No reason to take it down until they have identified the issue and found a fix. Also diagnosing the issue might require a live system to work on.

Or they've took it down so that all the EU players give up and go to bed thus giving them all night to come up with a 1 liner reason for tomorrow as to why its still down.

I'm slowly levelling a character there during times like these. No champion points and no gear makes the early stages a challenge again... it's really fun I suggest everyone does it

Yet they wasted no time in taking the servers down when the game was working because an issue that affected their wallet arose. They could have let people keep on playing while working on a fix and maybe we wouldn't all be in this mess but no, their wallet trumps all including their paying players ability to you know, actually play the game they've paid for.
And that's to say nothing about the fact that they just shrug at the people who have bought and paid for Greymoor but now can't access it.

Sometimes? Lol. Since almost a year every update (minor and major), almost every maintenance ends in PC EU being shutdown for whole day till late night hours when problem solves it self on its own.

If it was "sometimes" you wouldn't have 100 pages long thread about it in General Discussion.

If it was "sometimes", I'd be more than happy to wait for a fix, but it's always and they don't fix anything just wait till it fixes on its own.

And even when you are actually able to log in, you are not able to play, because PvP is one big lag fest, raids are so unpredictable that nobody wants to waste their time on it, sometimes even overland PvE lags!


ESO is great, except of performance witch is worse than terrible, and devs are just pretending they are fixing things, while since over a year becames more and more unplayable.

Launches are a mess, true. Actually, scratch that .. ZONE launches are a mess.
Dungeon pack launches work alright.

That's a grand, overwhelming, stupendous, terrible, very bad total of .. 2 days / year.
Yeah, carry on complaining, please. Cooompletely worth it.
