Antiquarian Eye not working in excavation zone

I'm get an error message that I can only use the antiquarian eye in an excavation zone even though I am properly in one. I was able to find the dig site on my own without the eye and it worked fine. The eye had been previously working fine for about 30 mins. Another member of a guild I'm in had the same issue.

Sprotch_16_ESO✭✭✭I had the same problem. Exit the game, restart it and then the eye will work. (maybe it will also work if you just logoff to the character screen and relog...)
Edit : I can confirm that just logoff to character screen, and logging back in makes the eye work again.Edited by Sprotch_16_ESO on May 28, 2020 5:13PM0
